"Slop of a field" and it's one of the nicest football stadiums in the country lol. I mean I can agree that the breaking of tradition is less preferable but Allegiant is legit.
It looks like a Rhoomba

i'd be more worried about USC then LSU for MF tbh. the fact they're in the big ten makes it more of fit.
They are a strong, Catholic, conservative family with very high family values. No way he would leave ND to move to crazy ass California 🤣🤣

Just because it's a two-parent home and nobody has purple hair doesn't mean they're conservatives, and even if MF cared deeply about being surrounded by Catholics (highly doubtful), California is far more Catholic than Indiana (if not ND.)

40 million people live in California. 10 million in LA County. Including lots of Catholics, conservatives (or whatever politics the Freemans might personally hold, we've no idea because he's too smart for that), and people with "high family values," whatever that means to them or to you. The whole damn world lives in Southern California and it's an amazing place.

Which does not mean Freeman's going to USC. Let's not be ridiculous.

Yeah, there are a lot of different people in California, but the rule is usually more interesting than the exception. California is definitely beautiful, but its income tax is 12% or something. Indiana's is 3%. If a coach is making $10 million a year that's a difference of nearly $1 million in take-home pay. Maybe USC compensates for that in other ways.

That said, I agree that MF doesn't seem like he would leave for USC regardless of the income tax.

Yes California certainly has higher state income taxes than Indiana. That is true. I was responding to a post that suggested the people of Indiana have better values than the people of California. Which is bullshit.

Let's not put on garnet colored glasses here. Instead of saying virtues, let's call it a location's personality. The personality of Indiana is very different than that of California, and small town IN has a much different personality that of large city Los Angeles

Sure all types live everywhere, but the concentrations of one over the other matter to the people living there.
And I say this as one who has involuntarily lived in CA a few times for a few years.

Well I, for one, have never been to Southern California and I am going to judge it based solely on what conservative media has to say about it and what I see on Real Housewives of OC and Beverly Hills.

Be prepared for a bunch of dudes who make $50k having a long discussion on tax rates

Why not a "neutral site" in Chicago or Indy? LV is practically a suburb of LA. But, will be there if this happens.
Exactly. There was talk of Kansas City apparently. But USC wanted a more neutral site. Talk is it would be at USC the following year, then ND

Honestly Vegas is better than Kansas City. Neither team would have all that many fans near KC and Vegas is pretty easy to get to.

Worse case would be 50% usc fans there, byu has a bigger fan base and was about even with ND in Vegas

Next year would have been USC's turn to host so I guess it would make sense to have the neutral site closer to them. But as someone else pointed out, even the BYU game had a heavy ND showing and BYU has way more fans in and around Vegas than USC. BYU fans might be annoying as all get out, but I will give them this, they were loud at that game.

watching the team come out of the tunnel and what a sad crowd for a 6-2 team as i see a ton of empty seats
They don't care. I maintain they primarily care about the Dodgers and Lakers in LA. Dodgers season is totally over and the Lakers are out of town tonight. They have a good team this year against a good opponent. Doesn't matter. LA doesn't care about USC football.

I want this win for USC tonight so bad. I hate northwestern football and want them to go away. They think they’re a better school than us.

So do we want NW to win and completely eliminate USC, or do we need USC to keep winning and somehow not challenge for a playoff spot?
