Their bitch fans are now calling the ND game just another random game, not a big loss.

The irony that USC is turning on Lincoln Riley for the same mindset that put him in USC to begin with.

He left Oklahoma because he didn't want the SEC smoke.

Now he's trying to duck out of the ND rivalry because he doesn't want THAT smoke.

He claims OU didn't upgrade facilities enough is why he left and he had taken them as far as possible. Common belief here though was SEC fear. His departure was very coy and selfish and he lied to Dean Blevins about being on his morning show the day it went down. USC just offered him stupid money. He will never have them relevant in the Big 10.

Not to sound like a homer, but before all of these superconferences in college football there was only 1 team that go coast-coast to play teams; our beloved Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

With the new format of college football I like the non conference games being tougher and I like how USC boosters & writers on line are speaking their mind.

If Lincoln Riley was owning this rivalry series I don't think he would be backing out, it's a bad look for him, the program, and the game.

He isn't going to last long at USC anyways....some NFL team will offfer him an OC job in the next 2-3 years.

Lincoln Riley’s most recent quote on it was this by contrast:

“I would love to. I know it means a lot to a lot of people. The purist in you, no doubt. Now if you get in a position where you got to make a decision on what's best for SC to help us win a national championship vs. keeping that, shoot, then you got to look at it.”

Anytime. Any place. Anywhere. vs I would love too but……..

This scares me as a ND football fan. Less than three years ago I had a conversation with the gentleman who is the largest SC athletic donor and basically oversees their NiL program. Being a former track and field athlete, his #1 goal was to bring SC their first national championship since the 70's in track and field. His next two priorities for success at SC are football and basketball.

You being scared is funny to me as an ND football fan. If the man wants to throw his money around to try and buy championships, we've seen the blueprint for the last decade: Miami, TAMU, Oregon

Do you believe he has more money than the other 'largest athletic donors' at major schools? or more money than the combined 'largest donors' at other schools?

To be competitive, you need more than money. You need admin, coaching, development, $, recruiting chops, good health and a break or two.

Are you the one who told him Lincoln Riley was a safe bet for his money and #2 priority?
Good on ya. Make sure he keeps adding cash to fund the LR as the Clay Helton USC Football Head Coach

My guess would be yes. They just spent over $2mil on a high school d lineman. Heck, they are handing out six figure signing bonuses to women's basketball players.

I can basically guarantee he doesn't have more money than Phil Knight, for starters.
