There was a stretch in my 20s where I was genuinely convinced Notre Dame would never beat USC again.
This was me too. Almost my entire 20s was spent watching my Irish lose to Cheatey Petey and the Trojans. I was there for the Bush Push, when Clausen nearly got the win, most of the home games in that stretch. Ya'll wonder why I pull for Tommy so much. It was like a weight off my back when we finally beat them in 2010. Legit one of the happiest moments as a fan.

Drops happen and teams still have 400 yards of offense on shitty defenses. Drops are not unique to ND (and no one catches Ricos).
Rico should have caught that ball, not sure why you believe otherwise.
Hartman was bot very good tonight otherwise the offense easily has 400 yds. Parker called a great play to start the 2nd half and Hartman under threw a covered evans when they short pass to Staes right in front of him goes for 15 yards. He also had a few bad throws sail high and missed a couple reads. He protected the ball which is great but there were some plays to be had.
Fortunately the D was lights out all night.

Lots of things can be true.

Sam sucked. He had a couple really nice balls, but his decision making was butt. He was throwing it behind guys trying to murder them, missing open dudes right in front of him, and just sailing shit.

Bad all around.

Geraldo was the pits too. I'm not a coach. I suck analysis. But even I was able to call out exactly what we were about to do the vast majority of the time. Like we're clearly gonna run down the middle... we're clearly gonna pitch it outside, we're obviously drawing up some vanilla seam pass on 2nd because the obvious above runs didn't work because they were obvious.

It's infuriating. I don't think Sam is bad, but I think Geraldo isn't helping him look good.

This was a fun game. Perfect weather for the good guys. Watts played lights out. He was a wrecking ball. Except for the kickoff return, special teams were a bit less than average. Offense…The GP. Board is going to be lit. What does the man have against crossing routes? Stadium was lit up and rowdy in a conservative ND kinda way. Golden had his guys ready

We should have a post game podcast hosted by the Mods so we can troll them and the haters. The YouTube super chats can find the site.

Congrats to Marcus and the boys. Parker still is terrible
I'll be honest. I felt Parker called a pretty good game tonight.

This was a lot more on Sam Hartman. I'll be real, he didn't play well at all.

There were a lot of good calls and guys were open and Sam flat out missed them. One only has to look at the opening drive of the 2nd half. Staes is WIDE OPEN for an easy 30+ yard play and Hartman doesn't see it and instead goes for the tight throw over to Evans which wouldn't have been a first down anyways.

A ways to go for Parker overall, but he wasn't the issue today for the offense. It was Hartman.

100% disagree.

This coming from somebody who lit Parker up like a Christmas tree last week.

He called a MUCH better game this week. He was on point for most of the game.

Parker called several plays where he schemed guys open and Hartman flat out missed him. I'm usually pointing to coaching, but Hartman is a 6th year QB with years of experience. He should be able to find guys who are wide open like they had multiple times.

You have it backwards in this case. Geraldo wasn't bad, but Sam isn't helping him look good. He's calling the right plays, but Sam isn't executing. I didn't think that was necessarily the case last week, but it absolute was this week.

- Al Golden deserves the bag and the NFL.

- Shoutout to Mike Mickens. Would love to see him get a chance to be a DC somewhere.

- Please let Jason Garrett get a random HC gig somewhere; and send Jac with him.

- MF really needs to upgrade at OC. I’m not going to dump on Parker but the offense is just so, bleh.

- I don’t know why but I’ve become an instant Jordan Faison fan.

- Stuckey deserves some credit for getting Tyree to be competent at WR and getting Faison ready to play. Greathouse as well; if not for the injury

- I didn’t notice the OL tonight so that’s a step in the right direction; zero sacks and maybe a couple of QB hits but overall, a solid night.

- MF has got to keep DMC at all costs. Just about everyone of those RBs contribute every game.

- Credit to MF. These last 4 weeks have probably been the hardest 4 weeks of his professional career. 2-2 but very close to 4-0 against 4 T25 opponents; all at night; 2 b2b away games. And just beat #10 by 28 points. He’s learning on the job for sure but damn if I’m not rooting so hard for him to succeed.

1) Best 2 loss team in the nation. Enjoy the win, rest and get healthy over the bye week and come back focused to win out

2) Similar carthetic vibes to the beat down of Clemson last year. MF needed this. The entire staff needed this. The players needed this. The fans needed this.

3) MF has made mistakes and lost games he shouldn't have lost, but overall, his teams don't quit.

4) I publicly apologize, repent and ask forgiveness for everything negative I have ever posted about Saint Al Golden.

5) Upgrade at OC in the off-season and make the playoff next year.

6) Fuck Southern Cal

7) Go Irish ☘️

Al Golden can stay at ND as long as he wants. He butt fucked SC and held OSU to 10 points for 59 minutes. MF can pick up defensive recruting. Just total hats off to Al Golden and his staff.

Parker is fucking horrible and bailed out by a DC who belongs and Jadarian Price.

Our DL partied all night. What an effort. Watts and JD were awesome. Wow.

Why do we play same song all game on 3rd down? Am I missing some sort of inside tradition?
I agree on Parker. 3rd quarter ND goes 3 and out twice. He has no clue. It is like, oh, lets try this one we haven't tried it yet.

Thoroughly enjoyable performance against my least favorite team. I’m not going to complain about anything on the field. Congrats to the team for stepping up after a tough week.

Last night was the tipping point for me as far as NBC. Absolute train wreck.m. I feel like they are producing the game for old people. Crowd noise muted down. Two of the worst announcers in the business. Why stick with this network? When does the contract expire?

To begin the second half, I’d love to see the flow had Sam hit Staes on that play. Yes, GP struggles, but some things could’ve been different with some better throws and decisions. Hoping for bye week healing and a deep dive into how to keep improving and pusking forward offensively.

I don't have access, but the LA Times published an article this past week about Lincoln Riley publicly mulling early retirement/an easier lifestyle (NFL). I don't think he's going to be at USC that long. If you ask a lot of their fans, sounds like they're ok with that- a lot of people hate how soft the program is

The talk on the Southern Cal boards is that Lincoln Riley is going to retire. ND truly broke them

To be fair, they had already started to get soft before he got there. But, if they want to blame it all on him, let's not stand in their way.
