I must admit I broke down and went over to that board to look around. just from a quick read-over, it seems that alot of ppl over there seem to be pointing the fingers at Laney-boy. Not just for the ND loss, but for being outcoached for much of the last month. I sure hope they dont realize kiffin for the snake that he is; as an ND fan I want him to be the coach at usc. IMO, they wont ever turn the corner from the sanctions till he is gone.

I believe had Haden been AD sooner Kiff. would have never been hired... I think Haden is just waiting for the proper time (two-three years from now) to be able to go get his kind of guy. And I'm no Haden fan, but obviously the man has a moral fiber that seems to conflict pretty highly with that of Lane K.

I like this one:

Robert Hughes
runs over a proud eight game winning streak, runs through a once proud D line, runs through whatever remained of the illusion of our being a fighting force in college football. What a downer! (Who the hell is Robert Hughes?)

hahahahaha I love the comments on that board.

In other news... holy crap are there some "interesting" characters on that board. Some really classless and douchey people... and some other people that are just mindboggling. There is one girl who has one that has a signature that is straight up soft core porn (look in the unrelated Andre Johnson fight thread if you want to see what I'm talking about).

Every second I get more proud to be an ND fan.

Robert Hughes was the guy who did the world a great deed and punched an SC player in 2008. Like a boss. Now he punched them in the mouth with the game winning TD.

Most everything that I read when I was there was how bad Kiffin is as a Coach. I can't say as I blame them, I thought he was a bad hire from the get go, but, oh well, they deserve the arrogance that they sow.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I just got my internet back, and I caved and went to visit the USC boards. I'm clownin'. A few observations from what I saw on ABC Saturday night. #1 Californians bundled up like eskimos in 55 degree weather was quite funny. The coliseum was VERY quiet. What was that big empty section in the endzone? It looked like only 4 or 5 people were sitting there. The commentators were hilarious, you could almost hear their eyes rolling anytime they talked about Lame Kiffin.
I was about to pee my pants, puke, and have a heart attack all in those last two minutes.
Some people of course are ragging on us saying we can't excited over this win because USC is mediocre this year, but I say with a true frosh qb in his first road start, to overcome 4 turnovers to win, we deserve it and will celebrate!
I also noticed a thread that said "ND players on roids?" No, honey, that's the good wholesome Indiana food we been feeding these boys!

I'm a Californian and it has been 55 for a week now... and I have been bundled up in my ND gear like an eskimo the entire time.

55 degrees is freakin freezing.

Really??? They talking about ROIDS???

That is epic levels of funny... especially considering everyone and their mother knows that **** went on at USC unencumbered (and possibly promoted) by Pete Carrol and his staff. Brandon Ting = busted for steroids, kicked off team. Brian Cushing = not busted until he got to the NFL, but same deal.

I agree...

I agree...

I don't. Would make this week's victory less significant in the eyes of pundits and potential recruits.

and the last thing we want to do is go on their
boards and rub it in. It would show a lack of
class and board respect...Tom

I have to say I enjoy seeing Texas go down too. That is waaaaayyyyy down the list of ND beating somebody, but when Texas, Michigan, Florida, and SC go down in the same weekend--it is a smile to my face!!!

Go Irish!

I just went and read what they wrote about roids, and they had no reasoning except that the ND players look "big".

What a joke on their part.

I've had days where I've walked around without a coat with the temperature in the 40's. That rugged Michigan weather toughens a man.

That board is filled with clowns. I went on there last year after Carroll left, just to check it out. They were talking about Chris Petersen, so I logged on and told them I didn't think he would leave Boise. I live in Boise, so I do know a bit about it. I was totally above board and wasn't stirring the pot, just giving them info. I got jumped on. All the sudden there were posts about how lame Idaho is, how racist it is, how USC is the dream job of any coach anywhere. They are tools. Any logical point I brought up was countered with how I must be a BSU grad and how I'm afraid that my coach would leave my lame school. When they got Kiffen, they all boasted and bragged. Anyone who said, "Well, this guy isn't all that," got hammered. Even if they were a USC guy. It is just filled with knobs.

As for LA. I lived there for 10 years. Just YouTube Kirk Gibson hitting the HR in the World Series. You will see brake lights leaving Dodger Stadium as he rounds first. I told that to a guy once and he said, "Well, traffic is bad getting out of Dodger Stadium."

In fairness I'll say there is in fact no worse traffic in the universe then the parking lot of Dodger Stadium after a game.

You've been in LA too long. World Series game = who cares about traffic?

I have to put in a bid for 80's raider games at LA Coliseum. if you didnt get to a 1pm game by 10:30am, you absolutely did not park in the parking lot. you parked in a gas station, a mechanic garage, or worse you parked in someones yard. And those ppl fit as many cars on their property as possible, so its a good chance you can get stuck there until someone else moves their car. In 1985, it cost $20 to park your car in someone's yard, i just read something recently where it said ppl are charging $80+ for parking in their yards now.

The LA Coliseum was built for the '32 olympics, and the parking lot was built for a 1930's world.

but the Dodgers were losing... and this is L.A. in October, the beach is right down the street.

lol... but seriously, you haven't been to L.A. enough... Traffic after a Dodger game= who the **** cares about the World Series, we could get stuck in that traffic.

;)

He said much of SC fanbase in his section started leaving at halftime... even Rodney Pete was in his section and left early. That damn traffic, I'm telling ya
