From up in Bean Town, Tom? You must have run into a doozie or two in your time to feel that way. I've been largely indifferent to the buckeyes, but I think the collective experiences of the board's members are starting to rub off on me. That is to say, I am definitely rooting for Navy. And I hate cadets (enlisted = works for a living).

This is true.

I remember a couple of years ago, probably in the last or second to last Weis year, when Navy kicked the hell out of us. And they just kept running the same play, a quick hit run, right up and over the middle of the line. Play after play. ND could not stop it at all. ND got routed. It was only a little worse than how Navy is running over Ohio State today.

I think Ohio State has actually benefited from this being the first game of the season, as Navy has had a lot of unforced errors. It seems as the season progresses they take care of the football better. Navy is gashing them with the run, but a few turnovers have set them back in this game.

That drop has rendered Ohio State's wins/titles worth much less. It's just that nobody has told the pollsters or ESPN.

I'll be interested to see what happens to Ohio State in the polls after this game.
