Harbaugh to Michigan is scary.

That being said, I'm certain Kelly to Notre Dame was a concern of the Wolverine faithful.

I'll take ours any day if the week.

I really see Harbuagh in the NFL... how long is he going to stick with college ball?

I really thought the same thing. Regardless, I'd say there is less than a 5% chance he is at Stanford next year. Texans and 49ers would both be great fits for him.

I could make an argument for Harbaugh going either way....however more likely (and i hope) he goes to the NFL....would have to be the right job.

Someone mentioned if the San Fran job was open...I could see him there...

It is the dead period. Coaches are not allowed to contact the players over the holidays. Not sure of the exact dates

it would be nice to sneak another o-lineman or defensive back in there but i think we need to get tuitt and huggins.

five DBs in this class already [as is Tuitt]. Need two linemen of some nature [since Carrico and Springman are versatile].

I would like another Offensive lineman and somehow grab Williams, Amir and maybe Scarlett.

I'd take Carlisle and Williams and be happy, but would love to get Niklas and his versatility to put anywhere too.

And the Lynch saga continues: The ghost of grand-dad dwelling on campus has stirred the young man, as he hears echoes of what could be...

Rivals reported that Quincy Aldridge is visiting TCU this weekend and pretty much begging for an offer.

Missing Haynes on the list. Coming down the stretch it looks like we are going to land 2-5 players between Amir Carlisle, Lynch, Ishaq Williams, Troy Niklas, Haynes, Scarlett, Huggins and Martin.

Down the stretch we may kill it and pull in a top 3 - 5 class!

I don't think we will make a top 5 class but a top 10 class is possible. You have to remember that as we gain a lot of momentum, so do numerous other teams. Even if Florida State were to lose Aaron Lynch for good, they have a loaded class and they are still in the mix for almost every other top100 player left on the board. Alabama remains in the mix for numerous elite recruits. Auburn just picked up 4 ESPNU 150 players in one week. Georgia and Florida look to close very strong as usual. And don't forget the teams that have been up in the top 5 all year in Ohio State, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Landing Ishaq Williams, Amir Carlisle, and Aaron Lynch will certainly lock us into a top 10 class.

If we secure 5 more commits from what remains, we're top 5. Just MHO... (OL recruit, an all-purpose back, book end D-End, long snapper, super o-line/TE hybrid)

And if we snag 6, considering Ishaq, hell - Top 3!

We have only 18 or so open scholarships for next year's class, if my counting of players on the roster is accurate.

I'd be happy with 2-3 commitments to close out the class.

He made it clear to Scout prior to his visit that if they offered he would commit on the spot.

People talking about what sort of a class we have [will have] makes me wonder about the big picture. For conversation purposes, let's say that a coach wants to supply his football team with ~24 positions that are real good each time he takes the field [11 offense; 11 defense; 2 kickers --- it's a little more complex than this, but let's say he wants good players at these spots at a minimum].

And again, simplified, let's say that he's not counting on any freshman being in those 24, but maybe he'll get lucky---so, freshmen 0 or 1. For people in their second year on the squad, say four or five are advanced enough to start. For people in their third and fourth years, say 9 or 10 each. Nineteen upperclassmen and five sophomore/freshmen = 24.

A coach would look at his recruiting class in any given year and say: are five of these guys going to be ready to start and play at a high level in their second year on the squad; and, do I have confidence that by their third year, 9 or 10 of them will?? [again, I know that this is a little simplified due to "fifth years" and injuries et al, but it doesn't seem completely goofy to me].

If I am in the head of a certain coach [BK], what might I think about the class as it now stands?? I'm saying: Tuitt, Hegarty, Daniels, AIII, Hardy, Koyack, Counsell, Grace, Josh A, Golson---any of those guys might be able to start by their year two, and if they don't it will only be because we're loaded there. [The other guys I didn't mention certainly have big upsides too, but I've picked the ten who have received the most post-season pub.] [I have for instance a great intuition about Cam McDaniel being a worldbeater].

This sort of thing is why I think that we have an extremely good recruiting class already. AND, I am almost as certain as I can be that we are going to add about four more good-to-great ones. But even if we don't, we've done very well. And, on the issue that a coach would like to have a couple of ultimate All-Americans in every class: why not Tuitt, Hegarty, Koyack in his turn, Brindza, Daniels, AIII....etc etc etc.... potential seems there for a lot of these guys to go sky high.

Removed:
Quincy Aldridge who committed to TCU

Things going down this month include:
Aaron Lynch will visit Friday, but rumors are out that he is all ours and that he is thinking Miami and Florida.

Ishaq Williams will announce this week, most likely Wednesday. Where he goes is anybodies guess but it is still ND, PSU and Cuse

Amir Carlisle will announce Friday and ND looks like the favorite.

Brennan Scarlett will announce Wednesday and Cal appears to be the favorite with ND making a run

Troy Niklas will visit late this month, will announce on NSD.

Cam McDaniel and Bennett Okatcha will make their OV's on the 21st
