Reminds me of "The Shirt" from '95.

I'll go with "Or What" for a true Daily Double, Alex.
My wife and I were discussing this yesterday. What exactly do you DO with a gift like this? I mean, the logical conclusion is to pull up some of your own grass and replant it, but that seems like a bit of work for some grass that may or may not have seen an entire football season. It's not like you can put this stuff in your den or on the mantle...maybe if you cut off a chunk and put it in a pot I guess.
I considered getting a piece, planting it in my backyard, surrounding it with a 2 or 3 width brick frame and an embedded plaque. I can't seem to find any pictures online of what I'm envisioning so I can't post it. However, the cost of the sod is too insane imo to justify this project.
Something like this...sort of.......Only a lot nicer obviously...but you get the point.![]()
What a shame.
Think of the opportunity cost/loss.
What would the profit (margin be damned!) have been had they done this with every re-sodding?
Why weren't all the Wizards of Lawn Street at Mendoza consulted?
Without natural turf Rudy would never have come into play.
Will the change lead to turf toe plastic surgery?
Is this a new twist on the term "Old Sod?"
Aerate me now before I go to seed ...
You do something like the picture and built miniature bleachers for both sides! lol
My dad ordered it and it came in the mail today. Literally just a patch of grass. I told him it was a waste of money but whatever he loves it.
What exactly were you expecting?
I don't know, a couple hundred bucks to have part of the Notre Dame field in my yard sounds like a pretty good deal. (Not to mention it makes the old man happy!)

I didn't know field turf was brown...
ND field? 2 years ago that grass was in some sod farm in Idaho.
