I'm working on the assumption it is relevant to the decision to let girls participate in sports. If the (at least) 44 states are wrong that this information is relevant, then no, the state need not have that information.

We got our dicks/balls touched by doctors...for hernia checks. I presume that, while uncomfortable, is relevant.
It isn’t relevant. It’s been optional on all of those forms you mentioned for years. Optional. DeSantis wants it to be required and who knows what they will do with that data as well as if you are a trans person who doesn’t have a period then you wouldn’t be able to compete if you can provide that information. That is the reason for the requirement. Test agin another nonsense culture war issue just to make someone’s life harder when it doesn’t affect anyone negatively. But you answered my question clearly. You are cool with that just not your guns. I get it.

Plying with a hernia is dangerous. Yea that is something worth knowing. Menstraitions ate not which is why it’s been optional.

So we are moving the goalposts and turning this from a legal / rights issue to a moral issue and assuming I feel like gays are going to Hell. That's not for me to decide.

Jesus died for my sins as well as others just the same. There is no sin that is irredeemable. Am I calling being a gay a sin? Again, not my call but I have my own convictions. I also have my own "worldview". I think we all know where I stand. Be gay, its not for me. I support traditional marriage. Tar and feather me.
All this is all good and wel but the moment you start actively trying to undermine my sisters right to live her life then it IS a moral and legal issue. Mind your fucking business. My sister isn’t harming anyone of you or anyone else in this world by getting married. No a single person.

Not clear how that information helps the government? Whats the FBI gonna do with that information they couldn't do otherwise?
Builds a profile? If you know more about someone I'm not sure how that's a negative? Should we take license plates off cars?

Per the article, its not clear those form questions are "optional." Hell, New York asks how many testicles we have. Do you have access to better info or are you lying?

Lets assume you are right and this is about trans playing girls sports...are you against knowing if boys are trying to play girl's sports?

FWIW,

Of the 44 states that include these questions, there was no significant difference between how often Republican-led or Democratic-led states utilized them on their suggested or required forms.

Beyond high schools, the US Women’s National Team in soccer is reportedly required to share menstrual information with the team, as some believe managing that information in regards to practices and physical requirements can optimize athletic production. Good Morning America reported that the practice helped the team win the 2019 Women’s World Cup.

Why would they need to build a profile? If they got a tip someone is going to shoot up a school, they will probably not have too many issues moving forward.

No one (in any politically relevant number) is trying to undermine her right to live her life. The Supreme Court legalized Sodomy decades ago. I presume the same decision would be cited in the event someone tried to ban lesbians from engaging in sexual behaviorm

That ain't what the article says. It says sometimes required, sometimes not.

By all means, if you have information that its optional everywhere but Florida, I'd love to see it. Always happy to take things away from the government if possible.

......isn't that what intelligence agents do? What's the point of having FBI agents around the world, we know bad guys are in North Korea!

This really isn't rocket science. Again, why have license plates?

The right to drive isn't found in the Constitution. The right to arms is. Again, I pass a check to buy the gun. They already have an idea if I'm armed.

Cack's sister doesn't give a shit about your sisters marriage. You and your kin are the ones keeping it from going both ways lol.

Does she need my permission to get married, I’m confused.

Did any of that (tl:dr) propose criminalizing gay/lesbian sex? Yes or no.

You can deny rights without criminalization surely as a lawyer you understand that. I didn’t think you’d read it. Yes there are things that would make things criminal regarding providing trans healthcare

Alabama made it criminal for patents and doctors to provide healthcare to trans people.

Also yes sodomy is still illegal in 16 states
This, along with anti-discrimination laws, effectively invalidated any remaining sodomy laws, but it still remains technically illegal in 16 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas and South Carolina. In Kansas, Kentucky and Texas the laws solely target same-sex activity

There are states trying to classify lGTBQ as sexual deviants and there by criminalizing their behavior to get around sodomy protections

They are under constant attack by the right every day. Every fucking day. Every fucking state and all over the world.

I'm perfectly fine with a state telling trans people they will not indulge their fantasies. That's not authoritarian or anything. History will be on the side of states akin to Alabama. Preventing self mutilation should be celebrated, not scorned.

You are perfectly fine with discriminating against lGTBQ. Got it. That’s it. Move along. I’m done.
Then move along. Refusing to cut permanently disfigure people is a hill I'll gladly die on.

Though frankly, it's unclear what being gay, lesbian, or bisexual has to do with that. Feel free to explain... or move along...

I'm not sure what you think we're supposed to take from your usage of the term traditional marriage here other than that you're against non-traditional marriage. Does she need to ask your permission? Thankfully not, but I'm sure you'd happily vote for candidates that would be in favor of stripping her of that right.

Trans people have been around for literally all of history lmao, this isn't new. Alabama has one of the highest death penalty rates, you can go raise hell about they're doing to bodies down there since you care about the sanctity of someone else's body.

We've been cutting off tits and dicks for literally all of history? This is news to me. Trans people need medical care, just not the kind you are thinking. Perfectly rational for a state to take a stance on that.

I dont support the death penalty. Vocally against it. Believe it or not, people can have some things right and other things wrong. But people sentenced to death are not a particularly sympathetic class. I dont feel bad for them. I do feel bad for people with weird delusions that they are a woman when they got a dick. We don't make their life better by cutting it off.

To be more clear, I am for the biblical definition of marriage. It is stated in the book of Genesis in the Old Testament, then also stated in the New Testament and Ephesians. So I guess when I say traditional I am just referencing the archaic and often Ill forgotten words of Jesus Christ is the Bible. To be fair I am not well-versed on the Mormons edition to the word of God and I have yet to read any biblical additions set forth by the Catholic Church or any other church.

So from a moral standpoint I do not support gay marriage. From a legal standpoint I do not see why the law has to follow the Bible and Christian values. The law is the law, and Christian values are Christian values, they are not one in the same.

I have plenty of gay friends. I have had plenty of gay coworkers. I have gay family. None of them have felt threatened by me or my Christian values. The beauty of personal relationships is that people understand the actual person rather than having to explain this behind a very non-personal user name on a message board.

Christianity does not have an outright claim to partner joining and transfer of property. It’s been a thing with humans well before Jews wrote it down. So to make your statement clear you are for a very narrowly defined type of marriage that is not THE only way marriage has been or is allowed to exist as.

Transfer of property? Fortunately, our legal system has a thing called wills. You can give your shit to whomever you want. You can also purchase property with whomever.

If someone wants surgery to change from a guy to girl or girl to guy. That’s fine, but it’s elective surgery like having your breasts enlarged. I see why it wouldn’t be covered.

Yes, for exactly the same reason we don't allow those same minors to vote, buy alcohol & tobacco, sign contracts in most cases, join the military or get married in most cases, engage in sex with an adult, or do a lot of other things: because they don't have the maturity and experience to make wise, rational, informed decisions on important matters yet.

I'm just fascinated that Cack is willing to die on a hill that minors should be allowed to have their penis and breasts removed when they can't even buy a six pack
