I feel like we have turned a corner.

I actually disagree here. I have called you names and you have called me names on this board. You have no problem calling out red necks or hillbilly’s that fit a certain mold. But Misgendering someone is transphobic? We really in a world calling someone she or he is worse than calling someone a dumbass? I think it’s pretty safe to say the left has weaponized words to make their arguments. The dictionary has even changed definitions so people can win liberal arguments.

Conviction… morally and to truth.

Respect goes both ways. I have a coworker that refers to my wife as my partner and I know they are doing it to solicit a response. I think it’s rude… but if we have that conversation who gets fired? 2-3 weeks ago probably me…

**I will also add. The left is all about “we all have a different truth or reality” so we make up stuff up to fit their truth. But when someone on the right “has their own truth” it’s hateful. Irish1s truth is probably that he isn’t misgendering… therefore how can he be transphobic? I lean heavily on Irish1 side.
Yes and us calling each other names is fine. We’re part of the “top class” and we’re not subject to implicit and explicit prejudice at the same rate as other groups of people.

The idea of “conviction” is fine too. But, gender is based on social norms so it is always subjective. You and NoDak has both said you wouldn’t purposely misgender someone. As much as some that are more caught up in the culture war stuff than you, I think they wouldn’t be reactionaries in person either.

A good example of this is with religion. You see someone in a burka, you wouldn’t start ranting at them about how oppressive it is despite your views on it. That’s all this is about, you and many others choose not to be transphobic when others choose to.

Ok - I’ll keep it short for you, what’s the point of purposely misgendering someone?
Misgendering isn't really a thing in most of the US. When I was growing up we'd go to the arcade between city league baseball and travel league practice. A transsexual or cross dresser (we were 12, what did we know?) would come play games too. We always referred to that person as a he. I don't think that was purposefully doing anything other than addressing someone by a pronoun.

That all said, he did have a 5 o'clock shadow and played the video strip poker game. He was a weirdo and it was the mountain top of Gen X parenting that they were fine with us routinely being around him lmao. He never bothered us though. Would be embarrassing to get your shit kicked in by a team of 12 and 13 year old kids.

Once again, all that said...I don't see a harm in being nice to folks. Can still stand ground on which sports they should be in and all that without being Matt Walsh or something.

Meh, where is my equity? Being on top sucks ass. I should be afforded my truth top class or bottom class.

Time and place / context. Socially I’ll call you whatever you want. If my son asks for the purpose of educating himself I will call you what truth and reality says you are.

Maybe… I don’t “preach” to anyone outside of this message board unless there is some sort of established relationship. Nobody will listen to you if (1) they don’t know you and (2) don’t respect you opinion (3) don’t like you. Relationship! If they know you, respect you, like you they will listen. In the real world I have gay friends and coworkers, I have illegal family even, one of my best friends is Muslim, and I have one friend that is an atheist Michigan fan. We all have established relationships and we trust each others motives and we all know where we stand. Our conversions can get borderline contentious when it comes to culture / politics but we don’t take it personal because we all know we come from different places. If someone I have an established relationship with came out as trans I would 100% have that conversion at some point at the risk of offending them.

Also for @Armyirish47 , want it on the record that the military physical is doable but holy shit it is humbling to go through at 33. I absolutely sucked at the duckwalk and he goes "you are a lawyer, we will say that's ok."

I better get in shape lmao

If the left wants to fight on the hill of Elon cutting obvious waste is a threat to democracy, then I like our position going forward. Especially as we keep finding obvious wasteful money funneling to left-wing causes from taxpayer money. It also lacks credibility as we have no idea who drove the WH for the past four years.

This is okay as long as they can see where the money is going and can cut the BS money.
Must keep the foot on the pedal. Making Dems fight this is an all-time classic.

Haha. It took Trump like 3 days to blow up this narrative.

How’s this all square with the US occupying Gaza?

Let’s face it, Trump is just talking out his ass and whatever makes him money and or keeps him out of prison is the “deal” he’s going to make.

I will say I appreciate his new talking points on making a “deal” with Iran. However, they sounded a lot like the deal that had already be negotiated under the Obama administration that Trump, conservatives and FOX “News” spent a shit ton of energy deriding as “supporting terrorism” or whatever.
US occupying Gaza is something I will hold my breath on and actually consider to be a realistic possibility once the boots start heading into theater.

Soros is using his dark money influence to emplace prosecutors that release murderers back onto the streets without bail, and Elon is using his very public facing monetary influence to stop taxpayer dollars from going to fund DEI initiatives in Serbian businesses, gee I guess this is the exact same thing

For some: God, Country, Family/Notre Dame
Others spell God… D.E.I. and country and sadly family (admitted by some on the board) fall down the list.

Here’s a twist… what’s the point of someone misgendering themselves.

My wife has had dudes in tennis skirts play in her league. It's pretty disgusting with their junk obvious in their tennis skirts and they do the lampooning of women act that gives the vast minority of transgender folks a bad name. Nobody is saying you can't cross dress but demanding to be celebrated and making mockery of it a hate crime you can GFY.

SEX not gender in sports. It hurts my head that it is even debatable.

That's hilarious. I commissioned when I was 30 too and humbling is putting it mildly. Glad that hurdle is passed and excited to hear about the rest of your process!
