It actually not a lot. We can use the San Jose state women's volleyball team as the perfect example. They had a record of 14-7 this past year with trans woman on the team. 7 of those wins were forfeits. So even with a supposed advantage by having here on the team. They were only a .500 team. So she didn't give them any kind of advantage.
You're wrong. It affected those seven teams that forfeited because they didn't get to compete.

Lia Thomas won the NCAA in swimming. How many women swam against Thomas through the course of the tournament?

They choose to forfeit and not compete, and it was 4 teams not 7. I have no idea how many women swam against her. But they all competed. She won a single title and still routinely lost to bio women and a trans male as well.

Would they have forfeited if he wasn't on the team?

I would guess somewhere around 50 during the course of the tournament, maybe more. Yes they competed and they lost.

She.

They made a decision to not play those matches.

Losing is part of competition.

Biological males competing against females in sports has affected a lot of girls and women the last several years. The number doesn't matter though. When has cheating ever been acceptable? No one is saying trans athletes can't compete, but biological men should not be competing against women. There's no reason they can't compete against men. Many sports organizations globally have already gone this route, we're the ones late to the party. It's about time.

We will never agree on this issue. Man-woman, full stop. Society deserves to have some order in this chaotic world. Calling a man a woman and a woman a man might be fine socially… but that is the end. I’ll call you a kitty cat if you want just like I call my son a transformer when he wants.

Burn the CIA front down

Just saw today that the Politico site was one that was getting funding from USAID, now they can't afford to pay their staff. It's going to be interesting to see what other organizations end up going out of business as a result of this. What a wild time, crazy to think what the ramifications of this could end up being.

It's the same thing with Fox News and Twitter has turned into Facebook with all the propaganda post being put out. Community notes help on Twitter but it usually doesn't come up until millions have already viewed the post.

There really isn't any non biased news source anymore.

You're not wrong, there really are few news sites that are non biased these days. Reuters still does a pretty good job and is one of the better ones you'll still find. BBC is close, very slight left lean there according to bias sites.
One thing I do appreciate about twitter is that they will circle back and notify you if a post you previously liked or retweeted gets a community note

I haven't noticed that, but I generally only like sports/music related post.

Can confirm, if you previously liked or commented/complained on a post on Twitter and it later gets a Community Note, you'll get a notification of said Community Note to let you know the original post is bogus. Pretty nice feature to combat misinformation.

I rarely watch the news. I'll watch a couple of clips online most days, but mostly I read, and I make sure to never just get my news from one or two sources or all of it from the same side. Almost all news sources are biased now, so just listening to one is a sure way to get an inaccurate take.

I watch both Fox and CNN/MSNBC. Mostly to see what the temperature is and then also to see what people will posting and bitching about on IE, seems to go hand in hand that news is regurgitated regularly.

Can't remember the last time I watched mainstream media, most of it is garbage. The local news is pretty good about current events in the area without much spin typically, and as mentioned I'll go to Reuters for more national/global highlights.

They decided not to play because a male was competing against them. I’m pretty confident they would have played if he would have sat out.

Losing is part of competition, but to your contemporaries.

In general, I don’t have any issues with those that want to be trans, but I do when it comes to competing in sports. We’re not going to agree on this so we might as well move on.

When visiting Europe is was surprised how different their news coverage was compared to the US. They focused on evens going on all around the world not just their country. Was very refreshing to see compared to what we get in the US.

Probably because Indiana alone is the size of the UK.

I'm pretty sure you could fit all of Europe into the eastern half of the US.

It’s not a European thing really like if you watch Canadian news you would see even there a greater focus on world events than American news would broadcast.

Doesn't clear the media for covering the same 2 or 3 stories all day/week long. There are other events happening

No clue. Just wondering since you said you had no problem with trans people, so if she wants to be referred to as “she” it would seem like you do have an issue?
It’s arguments like these that make this argument impossible to have.

I have always said in social situations and in the name civility and conflict avoidance Ill call the person anything it wants to be called.

Legally speaking or when gender is basically the price of admission or when having a truth based argument this person is a he all day.

It’s these no compromise arguments that I just say fuck it, socially a she too.

Being trans your gender you are claiming doesn’t line up with traditional societal norms. Sports were designed on those societal norms which is why there are women’s and men’s sports separate from each other. We can change words all day but that doesn’t change the root of what is true and what make believe.

That's the beauty of all of this no one knows!
Male and Female sports are split for safety reasons. The Y Chromosome is what separates male attributes v female attributes. One of the attributes of the Y chromosome contributes much much more favorably to muscle mass and strength… which is why we have separate sports. If “no one knows” then that’s an issue.

Why have two leagues for men and women?

This is the most progressive post I’ve seen on this topic by anyone on the Right. You are saying you’d do the right thing and call her by her preferred gender. You can disagree with participation in sports, but being purposefully transphobic like Irish#1 has takes away from the discussion.

Someone much smarter than me can determine the scientific rules and when too much HRT and what not poses a risk.
