Maybe Trump, the paragon of virtue and confirmed not a pedophile due to Brandon Inaction, is trying to make Ghislane so comfortable that she doesn't want a pardon. Then when he pardons her, the outside world will be torture. Didn't you liberals ever think of that?

LLF-Your fixation on calling Trump a pedo makes me wonder if you're a School Bus driver, a Boy Scout Troop Leader, or something along those lines. Regardless, your emotional distress is calling for action. I'll be praying for you. No italics.

You must be a pedophile if you don't think it's normal to be best buddies with Jeffrey Epstein. You'd be straight up deranged if you don't support moving Ghislane Maxwell to a minimum security prison.

lol I don’t think it’s just an Fbolt thing. We’ve now moved onto protecting Donnie when he wants to pardon a sex trafficker. I couldn’t imagine stooping so low to justify his actions.

Well sometimes you have to trade supporting a pedophile if you want a 15 year car loan and a 50 year mortgage.

He deserves every bit of shit he's catching for the mortgage stuff
I liked when he said "ehh what's the difference between 40 and 50?" as if 40 year mortgages are a thing lol.

The entire ruling class is so hilariously out of touch.

My guess is he wants a 50 years as an option to reduce monthly payments, thus making a home more affordable for some? Do we have any stats on how many 30 year mortgages go the full term? I haven't read anything on the 50 year mortgage so this is speculation on my part.

Looks like we may get some clarification. Still curious as to why this wasn't released sooner.

Oh that's going to be the reasoning behind it. Trying to prop up the real estate market and get young people buying homes again.

But the issue is... going full term (while yeah, you can pay more each month and make extra payments to lower the term but that doesn't always happen) is near impossible to ever do due to pure age issues. You buy a house at 25, a rare occurrence these days, you would be 75!!!! paying it off. Plus, you are getting next to no equity. Living in your house for 20 years, you still have 30 years left and have built up next to nothing.

You don't see how this could be an issue, really? This is predatory financing 101, lock someone into something they can "afford" while destabilizing them over the long term.

You're allowed to call bad policy, bad policy.

$400,000 home with a 20% down payment.

Mortage of $320,000 at 5.98% interest for 50 years.

This would result in you paying $687,860 in INTEREST!

To add to this, on a 30 year mortgage you would pay $369,202 in interest. That's a savings of $318,658...

It's horrible policy, it's the kind of policy I would expect from the Nancy Pelosi/Chuck Schumer's of the world.

Predatory lending is apparently ok if you like Trump.

But how many people even keep a 30 year mortgage? I'm not supporting a 50 year mortgage, but it seems that most would be selling and moving long before 30 years let alone 50. We bought 3 homes within our first 15 years of marriage.

If you sell 20 years into a 50 year mortgage you’re going to have no equity built up to be able to afford that new house.

Release all the files.

50-year mortgage is similar to extending terms for vehicles. I hear a lot about 84-month auto financing. UK mortgage terms are commonly 25-40 years. It is absolutely ridiculous how regular folks are priced out of homeownership.

This is the exact line of thinking that got us the 2007 recession. Lax lending rules that prayed on people who wouldn't otherwise qualify for a mortgage.

This would anger those who are typically as far left as me, but affordability can not be achieved by adding increased risk to the mortgage pool. You're essentially adding this volatile subsect of the population which under previous times was too risky to underwrite. These people could cause another 2007 type recession. It's like dropping the height requirements lower for kids to get on rides at six flags, ehhh most will be fine but there is an increased chance little Timmy is going to be launched into the pavement.

Stated income on an interest only mortgages were all the rage in 2007 - how did that turn out again?

Delta in payment is about 15% for 50 vs 30 year mortgage, meaning you can "afford" to pay 15% more for a house assuming the same interest rate. 30 year mortgage rate dropping from 6.5% to 5% would have the same effect on affordability at the same house price.

Housing needs to correct 15% rather than financially engineering a 15% lower "cost"

We all want the Epstein files released and for the chips to fall where they may. Most of us have said that multiple times. I'm still waiting on a credible answer as to why the Biden admin didn't release them when they could have. Forget that the Trump admin hasn't after promising to do so. We agree on that and that he should have. But why didn't Biden? It's hard to come up with any plausible scenario where Trump was legitimately implicated in them where the previous admin or the Harris campaign wouldn't have used that.

The almost certain answer in regards to Biden and Trump not releasing them is that there are big names from both sides implicated in partaking of the adolescent girls being trafficked and both side realize that trashing a few senators, congressmen, or major donors from the other side isn't worth the damage to your own... a MAD scenario. However, given the magnitude of the situation and the White House being in play, I don't think there's any way there's actual dirt on Trump in this case or it wouldn't been worth the fallout for the Biden/Harris camp to have screamed that from the top of every building in the country.

Epstein’s brother said Jeffrey had "dirt" on Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. He told the BBC that Epstein said in 2016 "If I said what I knew about the candidates, they'd have to cancel the election."

So I think it’s pretty safe to assume both sides are implicated.

Trump would not be fighting this hard to protect anyone other than himself.

Well, now’s the time, the Epstein emails show the Pedo President being implicated. Time to see if we’ll have any of the IE folks change their tune. I’m setting the line at 0.5 people outright condemning him.

Line is being set that low because we know that financial crimes do not matter to our friends.

Epstein telling people he was informing Russia on how to deal with Trump. Must have fallen for that Steele Dossier too 😂
