A) they assumed a large portion of the electorate wouldn't have believed it even if they had released everything (see drayer), B) he was covering up for other high profile Democrats that are also in the files and prioritized that over ousting Trump, C) he's a disciple of the "they go low, we go high" bullshit and felt they needed to allow everything to play out at a snails pace so they could follow every piece of red tape in existence.
lol there is absolutely no world in which any of our lovely GOP folks would suddenly stop supporting him if it was confirmed he was in the papers. There is already documented proof they hung out! So, if that’s not enough, surely a DOJ (that they already don’t trust) puts out a statement showing his name in a paper, they’d now believe he was a scumbag.
It’s incredible the lengths people go to just avoid saying “ya but I will still support him”. You must start every post with saying something bad about Biden, or Obama, or the cast members of the View before you’re allowed to criticize their favorite leader.
Nothing captured that feeling more than looking at the RIP thread and seeing people more upset that Cheney said some mean words about Trump, and not the fact he is rightfully now burning in hell. This is spicy, but when Obama finally bites it, he’s probably going to have a seat at that table too.
