Another SPOILER:
I am going all in early, I reckon that crazy friendly looking lady who waves at the kids from her porch whilst they ride up the street did it (well, her crazy husband did it but she was the mastermind).

Last night's episode was pretty good. The junk man opened the green bag and it was loaded with guns. On the previous episode he carried the bag like a kid was in it, but that was too obvious IMO.
I think the True Detective subreddit has probably already solved this case which I think will be very satisfying for anyone looking to go spoiler-free.

Haha, thanks for the heads up.
On the spoiler you hid, i hope it's not just a silly rabbit to chase.
I saw 100 theories on reddit. Which one do you think solved things? So many Easter eggs, rabbits and angles, my head hurts lol...
A buddy of mine has been of the opinion (since before S3 started) that NP will loosely tie all three seasons together by the end of S3.

Didn't really think I was spoiling anything. The junkman isn't the killer. He's a typical diversion detective shows love to use. Like I said, the way he carried that bag was so obvious it was easy to know the girl wasn't in there. They're just hoping you take the bait. If he were the killer, why would he hide her body in a bag and put it in his shed when he killed the boy and left his body?
I will say the bedroom scene was pretty provocative.
Considering the girl is still alive, it's highly unlikely her dead body would be in a bag in the 80s, yeah? Deductive reasoning.
Heads up...the new episode is on HBO Go to stream today because of the Super Bowl

Two more to go and I don't think it can be this simple. A lot to be uncovered over next two episodes.
They're hiding something. They've thrown out too many diversions (lady on the porch, the former cop now head of security, the junkman, kids dad) to keep you from the real perp.
I think Rolan is also gay and seeing Tom. I know other people have mentioned of this as well. Still think Tom is killed by the security guy, Roland finds out loses his mind and then kills the cop for Hoyt foods. We all find out in the end it was Hoty and the mom all along making some sweet deal. Part of me thinks maybe Emilia covers some things up. She fucking knows something too.
I don't think Roland is gay, simply based on his chasing the lady at church. His efforts that day were poon houndish.
I think the mom was involved with Hoyt, they both are at the root of things, and Hoyt had her killed. I do agree/think that Tom get's killed by the Hoyt security dude, Roland then kills him, and Wayne helps cover it up.
Still not sure about Emilia. The whole one-eyed man confrontation gave me a WTF moment. Still trying to figure out Wayne's daughter's situation and tie in.
