They would be better off if everyone tried the same shot. After seeing how certain angles worked and what kind of bounce you get off certain surfaces, you'd get better the more you did it, and eventually someone would hit. Its like golf. If five of us went out to see who could hit a 100 foot putt first, if we all just went to random spots it would be a lot tougher than if we all putted from the same spot and learned the pace and the break from one another's putts. Same thing here. They are just getting it and throwing it randomly. They need a more scientific approach.

(note: I have some experience with this, shamefully. My friends and I actually did make some of these trick shot videos in college. We actually took it seriously, because we were idiots, so our degree of difficulty was pretty outrageous.)
