That was so funny when they would jump and scream like little girls when they made a shot. LOL

Great video. I wish I was a part of some sort of trick shot day of the week.

This is awesome, I love it. They seem like regular college guys just jacking around.

I absolutely love seeing stuff like this!
While some of us live and die by what happens on Saturday afternoons, it's easy to forget that at the end of the day theses are just young kids who are having the time of their lives in college.

Go Irish!

Just re-watched both videos to get my Tuesday going at work. Their reactions are classic.

Although the videos are great, the rules seemed to be explained inadequately.

As they did state, winner from last week chooses cup placement--keep it simple. Said winner takes 1st shot, there is not order in which a person shoots, the ball chooses the shooter in order to avoid chaos causing cup displacement. Im fine up until this point----

My take is this:

The player then shoots. it seems like you have to shoot it off a wall designated by the winner of previous week. It can then bounce directly in or bounce off any object around the cup and land inside. The one rule that was definitely left out (unless i missed it) was that the ball can be re-directed into the cup by a player using only his head. If first player misses with his head and the ball is still alive, another player can use his head until the ball is dead. I'm pretty sure that the last trick shot of the one video (although it was tough to see) was a double head shot.

Thoughts?

Glad they're having fun. Also don't think it's a coincidence that the videos star almost exclusively 2nd and 3rd (and 4th) string upperclassmen. Which caused which?

thought the same thing lol.But cierre is always in there and manti made an appearance today. Favorite thing about these videos was when Chuck Martin?? came by a few weeks ago and said, "Don't you guys have anything better to be doing?" lol classic. But this does take place after practice and they can not go to training table until they sink the ball in the cup.

It's not like they're skipping practice to do this or anything. This is their break time and they created something fun that brings them together.

The upperclassmen just took the initiative and had the fun personalities to come up with it is all.

My post was light-hearted, although I do kind of stand by my point. You won't see Rees or Floyd doing video series about flippy-cup games they've organized. Not that guys like that are dead serious all the time or never loosen up - but, don't tell me different players don't have different mindsets/approaches, both based on where they are/ causing them to be where they are on the depth chart or in their careers.

All the same I'm glad ND has some guys like this to help keep the others loose. Bonding is good and we seem to have a close team.

agreed, but if you get a chance, go take a look at Tommy's twitter page, kid is always clowning on his teammates. I really like the idea of keeping the locker room atmosphere loose. It is alot easier to have fun when you are winning and the coaches I am sure do not mind it as long as these kids come to work everyday and get **** done when they need to.

This kind of stuff goes a very long way in the Locker room. This shows the team chemistry is very good, the team is energized, and guys like Golic, who don't get to play that much, are great assets in the locker room. I think this is a very good sign for our program going forward.
