Had friends in Stowe last week and was told a ton of people there who had cancelled their Beaver Creek/Colorado trips due to the lack of snow.
Had friends come in for Christmas and went to Winter Park and it was atrocious. So much brown still, mountain not fully open. Praying we get some good winter storms soon.

I believe you'll be good in February. I have never skied in Colorado.

I do it backwards. Ski locally and then Tahoe. Late in the season I'll ski Vermont, while most do VT then Tahoe/West Coast.

The key is to go down south and avoid the i70 corridor. Wolf creek and a ton of hidden gems down there. My personal favorite is Monarch Mountain. Hasn't been over run by corporate businesses like the Vail resorts but gets absolutely dumped on.

We usually try to avoid the I 70 corridor, but always wanted to check out Beaver Creek and thought it would be farther up than some of the crowds. We usually go to Rockies mid-January and Ive had good luck with snow past few seasons and our local skiing isn’t very good. We have a family place outside of Pittsburgh which we usually go to in February but even that has been hit or miss the past few seasons.

My son grew up skiing Eaglecrest in Juneau, but when we moved down south we started our annual father son ski trip. We’ve been to Telluride, Taos, Alta, Snowbird, Crystal Mountain & Sun Valley. Hoping to get to Rockies twice this season, but that rarely works due to sports and other commitments.

We have settled for Epic 7 day pass this season, but it’s always a toss up. We have done Ikon, Mountain Collective and paid multi day prices at different resorts in past.

Happy skiing to all this season.

Yeah, Epass holder. I pay 550-ish for the vet pass and access to all I want. I do see how it's F-ing up resorts though.
I meant how a lot of the resorts have lost their small mountain resort feel. And how expensive it's gotten. 12 years ago I got the keystone Breckenridge pass for 280. Think that's damn near doubled in price since then.

The wife said she may want to go to Puerto Rico. Options would be to fly directly and stay or take a cruise out of Ft. Laudersale or Miami so we could spend time with the grandkids. Anybody been? Suggestions?
