We need to lose more players to get to 85 and land a few more in the portal
How many big upgrades are we going to get from post-spring transfers, though?

Most guys transferring at that point are leaving their current school bc the writing’s on the wall that they won’t play much. Few of those will be an improvement on the guys we already have in-house.

We still need a safety, but nothing else is urgent. And I guess at this point I’d rather develop the players we’ve got rather than let them walk in hopes of finding someone better. We’ll be below 85 regardless. Always are.

Never know, but you'd at least like the opportunity if a stud comes available at a position of need.

I'm sure we'll be below 85 due to the names above, but we're above it right now. I believe if we take heard we're close to 90 right now.

Tend to agree. The other rationale would be successful back channeling a specific target or guys who aren't meshing well with a new coach/regime.
Some 5th year guys may be looking for an opportunity with a team they view as a legit playoff contender if they currently are on a loser.

I think I saw 88 the other day. If history is any guide, I’d be pleasantly surprised if we’re at 80 by kickoff at A&M. There will be room if a stud comes available, I wouldn’t worry about that.

ND needs to start bringing in some transfers with multiple years of eligibility left. I'm fine with bringing in some one-and-dones, but they really need to bring in some players from the 2023 class who went elsewhere that they recruited and like.

Not recent history.

Not against transfers in - just hate to see 'original' commits leave after a year - or two..... I get the ones that aren't up to 'par' but still...

Time to make a ND profile for Rod Heard IMO, if I'm reading tea leaves correctly on 247.

Not a captain, MF has mailed it in.

This is why Lanning doesn’t need to go to a blue blood. It’s legal to buy recruits now, unlike a few years ago, and Nike has backed up the truck
