He has limited to no mobility. Can't make many throws past 25 yards physically and his decision making is shoddy at best. Oh and he showed absolutely no signs of progress throughout this year in terms of his reads.

I really do like Tommy Rees personally. I enjoy watching his interviews and he has a winning attitude and actually very good mechanics too. To put it simply...he just isn't very good. I don't know why exactly. Many guys who arent mobile or have a strong arm have been successful in the right situation, but my take on it is that in our situation at this particular school...we need someone who will stand out and take us to the promised land. The spread offense we have can be run by a mobile QB who can run the read option successfully, or by a QB w/ a strong arm that can chuck the ball down the field and get the ball to our playmakers. He has niether. But your right the majority of this board seems to be very anti-Tommy, and I'll admit I've had my Tommy-Hater moments too.

He'll always be in my heart for that (depsite a terrible game in that one).
