He’s an ND man. I cheer for him. Everyone loved him when he didn’t get on the plane for Baton Rouge. Happy to see him get another gig. Hope he’s successful.
It's easier to root for him when he's not sucking it up for your own team anymore.

I don’t get the Coach Tommy Rees thing, but who knows. He keeps getting opportunities.

I've never understood the hate for Tommy Rees, starting from his playing days. Sure he was 6' nothing, slow and had a below average arm for a P4 QB, but the man played above his physical limitations and gave his all when the more touted QBs ahead of him failed. And did it through the boos. Then, after he moved on to coaching, came back to ND despite how the fans treated him, and stuck at it even when his boss and mentor did ND dirty. The notion he owes ND anything is ridiculous.

But he wasn't a 5*. And he decided to work for the greatest CFB coach of all time. So we shit on him.

Just silly.

This is the way. Athletic limitations aside, the guy gave it his all for ND. Some fans want to shit on him as a player when he stepped up and guys like Crist and Hendrix failed to reach their potential. Their anger was misplaced, and for some of those fans Rees will never have their support.

Never saw it confirmed on here, but the Falcons did officially hire Rees as OC

Stefanski obviously feels good bringing him to Atlanta. If they have success it's going to look really bad for the Browns, but that's to be expected.

Dude’s clearly a competent coach and probably a hard worker. His bosses seem to want him around. I’ve not followed Atlanta much much but Tommy’s got a 1st rounder at QB who played a ton of football in college. If he gets Penix playing great ball, Tommy will have some big opportunities ahead of him.

You think resolves this argument? That Shitdeur, after a horrendous season, won some arbitrary consolation prize due to Drake Maye's unavailability?

Pretty sure it was a joke. Not sure anyone could argue Sanders as a Pro Bowler with a straight face, even if Maye or half the other QB's were injured.
