I don't think so man. If Rees was leaving for a P5 HC position I'd buy it. Not moving to a (declining) program for the same position across the country.
Lol, "declining program." All they did was lose the natty last year and barely miss the CFP for the first time in it's history this season. They're not going anywhere, unfortunately.

For all of the Rees hate received in the past couple of seasons, there sure does appear to be a lot of worry going on here......

It's the sign of a good program.

When your positional coaches becomes OCs/DCs, or your OCs take lateral moves to the best dynasty in CFB, it means you have some well-thought of, talented, ambitious members in your building.

Im not sure your coordinators making lateral moves is a good thing, regardless of the other side involved.

Just when I thought things were getting a little slow and boring around here...I should've known better.

It's times like these when you appreciate the slow/boring offseason

In a literal sense yes lol, considering the heights Saban was at missing the playoffs last year and 1 national championship in the past five years does constitute a decline.

The recruiting is still there. They lost two games by a combined four points. I wouldn't count Bama out, I think they still have another 2-4 years before they truly start to dip - I'd wager it along with Saban's retirement.

I think you would have to consider Josh Gattis

Absolutely, positively, 100% NO.

This guy is toxic. The players AND staff on Miami hated this guy last year, and he had inappropriate relations with a recruit's mom the year before.

I wonder how his dad figures into all of this. Is he encouraging Tommy to pursue? Wants him to stay? Would he go with him?

Yeah kinda funny ND has bent over backwards for Tommy time after time "out of respect for his fawtha" and now the second tommy has the chance to make a move for his own benefit and ND's detriment he jumps at it. Loyalty only runs one way it appears

Reading the tea leaves over the years, his dad would be easily replaced and that scout position could probably be upgraded pretty substantially.

Getting on the plane means he is as good as gone...never got on the plane for either LSU or Miami.
Interesting tenure Tommy has had, and going to be a big moment in Marcus's tenure on how the next few weeks go with finding his replacement.

I'm cautiously optimistic.
