This would be really bad. Everyone knows I wanted him gone because of his recruiting abilities. He clearly has changed his approach imo and has made huge strides in both the his school ranks and transfers this year.

I don't know. Personally, I feel that he has more unfinished work at ND. He was finally given full control of the offense, and didn't bounce for a new coaching job last season after the coaching change. Him and Freeman have a good thing going here. While I do believe that a move like this could have happened in the future, I just feel that this would be a situation of "learning how to run before you can walk".

Tom is getting there. He's young. He doesn't need to rush his future. The way Alabama go through OCs, the position is likely available in two years again.

So either we get Bama’s reject back OR Tom rebukes his alma mater, essentially signaling his disbelief of an eventual NC - not great, Bob!

This is bad folks..

Also, all the legit OCs all have new jobs. I wouldn't even know where to start.
Probably would have to be Kevin Johns from Duke. Connections to Freeman, Norvell tree....or someone from the NFL.

If Chris Low is reporting it, it's as good as done. Very rarely misses on SEC stuff.

IIRC Freeman had a frank conversation with Carr when he committed about Rees' inevitable departure when he is ready for a new job so I'm not too worried on that front. Will be very curious to see who takes over if this happens though.

Not a true ND offseason without some drama.

Does Carr follow Rees? I suspect yes, it would be hard to pass up. That said, new blood on the offensive side would be a net positive — best to make the inevitable immediate, as they say. Plus, there are better talents, and more charismatic coaches, out there. Imo, we need charisma more than x’s and o’s these days. Best of luck to him if he goes!

Would be an incredibly odd move with Hartman in the fold. Would be foolish to not at least explore the opportunity. Hopefully he tells Saban thanks but no thanks.

To follow this up, I believe I read in the some article after Carr's commitment, that he knew Rees wasn't likely going to be around by the time Carr was on campus - Rees had one more year, tops, after the 2022 season.
