I'd like to start a thread on the sec and its recruiting/gamesmanship/entrance requirments/bending of the rules to the fullest/all the reasons why they are dominant at this time and resemble more like pro football. It could be kept open and be a place for other schools (fans) to express what they think. Of course you'll get the dixie waving stoooges from the sec putting in their 1/2 cent but it could stay open for a long time. My reason is simply this-the national championship game was an obvious easy win by a bunch of pros really laying the wood to a very very good college team. Anyone who understands college football knows Notre Dame was a good group of college ball players. To get taken apart like that has to make you wonder what the hell is going on down there. Are they cheating/are they allowed to just do whatever they want to as far as national standards/are they adopting a policy of lets not tell on each other? Obviously you see what I think about it and frankly I'd like to hear from more people on their opinion. The sec product on the field speaks for itself but is it really college football or 85 (in some cases 100) guys on campus to make $$$ and entertain on Saturdays with no regard to the college student experience. If I hear one more time how coachx is such a builder of young men as he draws his millions and oversigns/runs a program like the NFL I'm going to puke. Is it time to call it what it is or just quietly take the *** whippings. CALL IT LETS PUT THE SEC UNDER THE MICROSCOPE.
