2 Jets come within 725 feet of hitting each other

I think that to a degree, the angle of the video makes it look a little worse than it was. 725 feet is too close, but I believe the minimum separation for air traffic is supposed to be 1000 feet, so this isn’t too much off of that. Still not good though, shouldn’t happen. Possibly an ATC error.

Looks like it can be a minimum of 1,000 feet when planes are flying at a higher altitude on a stable path. Otherwise, the minimum seems to be 2,000 feet. 750 feet when one plane is ascending and the other descending is frighteningly close.

I'm possibly the happiest man on IE right now. My wife and our two youngest daughters (13 & 27) are on their way to Iceland for two weeks. They've been planning this girls trip since early last year. As of Monday night, I'm on a three week vacation from work. Been getting them ready to leave, cooking enough stuff to last me a week or so, and preparing for my two weeks alone. I'm staying home all by myself to tend to two dogs and a guinea pig. Other than that, I've got 14 days to eat spaghetti, watch movies, sleep when I want, play guitar, and no patients and no wife or kids wanting me to do something for them. My youngest asked me if I was sorry I wasn't going with them and I laughed and said, "I'm gonna be soooo lonely here all alone with just my guitars, but I'll try and be strong." I love 'em all dearly, but holy cow am I gonna enjoy 14 days of peace & quiet all by myself!

Unfortunately, my wife and daughters are stranded in the US due to the 3000 or so flight cancellations caused by some computer issues this weekend. I've gotten a few angry, crying, frustrated calls as they're stuck in an airport whose AC isn't working well, they can't find a hotel yet, they still haven't found one of their pieces of luggage, and at best they're going to miss a day or two of time they've paid for in Iceland. My wife wants to just get on a plane and come home, but I'm telling her to sit tight another day or two and the issues will likely be sorted out.

Just got some great news a few minutes ago. My wife called and they're on tonight's flight and should arrive in Iceland only 24 hours late.

The next bed we get will be a Brooklyn Bedding. My plant is in the same industrial park as their factory and we get a 40% off current sale prices. I believe Nectar's top of the line bed ranks highest but BB's had a few in the Top 10.

Mattress shopping now and there is way tooo many options. One thing in I have learned in my research is about the amount of mattresses that use fiberglass in them which is terrible. Nectar is one of the brands that use fiberglass, I would stay away from them and Casper. Brooklyn Bedding is clean tho

Half a mechanics shop
In my office i got toys to fiddle with. Vox modeling amp like 50 watt nutube with a 12” celestion. And a kustom 100 watt 15” bass amp. Bunch of pedals. I keep a cheap mitchell short scale 6 string 4 string and a fender pj. Out in the shop ive got some 200 watt peavy modeling amp into a 12” cab i built and a green back celestion. Have a little hot rod tube amp into a 12” celestion custom cab that feeds back and screams insanely. Bass stacks i got a carvin red line 600 over an alumabass 4x10 ( 2 are replaced with jensen paper cone to roll back the bite) and a 15” got some gazillion watt berringer over a jenson 15 and a 4x8 for singy fretless stuff. Guitars out there i got some strat copy i have hot rodded, a tele a 80’s epi nighthawk a lp jr. Base i got a classic washburn b10 like cliff burtons. Have a 50’s p bass frankenbass i made. Couple of stuart spector basses and Ibanez custom shop 5 string and a violin shaped fretless custom wish bass with flat rounds when i wanna show off how melodic the low end can be. And lots of other bits and bobs and things in totes

So, my wife and daughters spent all day at the airport yesterday in sweltering heat, most flights were delayed, but they finally got on a plane last night, a day late, which also got delayed 2+ hours, but finally landed in Iceland this morning. They're tired, frazzled, sweaty, got rained on, and my wife's suitcase sat on the tarmac in the pouring rain for several minutes and half her clothes are damp, but they're safe and sound and in their rental cottage. A shower and some sleep, and they'll be fine tomorrow. They visited Bobby Fischer's grave for me and took several pics.

I truly hope your not conducting your own research on mattresses. The sales rep has all the answers-they are the experts!

I don’t know where to put this, but tonight my daughter (27) was choked by her ex-boyfriend. Apparently, this is the second time he’s gotten physical with her. Please, somebody convince me not to fuck him up. I am absolutely livid right now. I don’t want to go to jail and I definitely don’t need a felony conviction, but I don’t know what else to do. I can’t just allow someone to physically hurt my daughter.
