I worked in nightclubs in Orlando and Daytona Beach during the Monday Night Wars. Had a number of interactions with all the wrestlers. WCW, ECW, WWE. Notable ones:
Disappointingly Kind of a Dick: Chris Jericho. Also, he's really short.
Surprisingly polite and very nice: X-Pac Sean Waltman
Nicest wrestler I met by far: Arn Anderson. We just said "hi" to him in bar while he was walking by with his arms filled with drinks. He stopped and talked to us for 15 minutes while his friends waiting for their drinks.
Solid Dude: Bubba Ray Dudley. He was super fun at the bar, made me do shots with him even though I was working. I let him and Little Vito into the bar past the line with no cover. He was great with the staff. Mocked Hulk Hogan. Told me the next time they were in town he'd bring me backstage passes. A year later, I had already moved back to NJ. My friend from the bar calls me and tells me Bubba Ray came in with 5 backstage passes and asked for me by name. A YEAR later.
Funniest: Scott Hall. But he was also an alcoholic at the time, so not as funny now. He was drinking at the bar after Nitro. He had his booze in a coffee cup so Eric Bischoff wouldn't see, but got caught anyway. When Scott Steiner walked past the bar with a girl, Hall yelled, "Hey Scotty, your wife called. She said you forgot to let the dog out!"
Lastly, Eric Bischoff and Medusa came into my bar during the day a few weeks before the Hog Wild ppv. He was really cool. I called my buddy who had just beaten cancer and told him. I asked Bischoff if he would say hi to him. He got on the phone and talked to him for a few minutes and was super encouraging and supportive. Madusa was pitching Bischoff to become the NWO's first female wrestler.
