Oh yea, corrected; I think we'd be hard pressed to find someone on here he hasn't checked. He generally let's me operate without interference. I've been out of line as well.

This board thrives because it is different. It will evolve where the administrator and moderators allow it. It's an oligarchy not a democracy. If it goes back to the way it was, a few years ago, this board will wither once again. If that's the way it goes, I'll heed your directive phork and move on.

It is different and that is why its a great place to be. Clearly HCTI sees an issue that a lot of us just don't see. I have only been around these parts the better part of 3+ years and frankly the only thing that has changed is some of the people that come and go. I meant no disrespect here, but there are people that have come and gone that I miss. They added to the board in a way, much like HCTIs list did his, that improved my experience here.

All I'm saying is that people come and go, you have to just get used to the transient nature of the internet. Some people just find something shinier and go to the light. However if we are talking about a tightening of the screws to enforce the rules you might lose a lot more than you hope to gain.

i am confused what is wrong with this board? or how it was different in the past. i wasn't here so i am just wondering? but i agree this board can be a little ridiculous at time's with the rants and how people react to certain to different situations and the people who comment just to comment(drives me nuts). but i really enjoy posting on here and enjoy everyone's opinions.

I agree that GH has some super posters, but dang, it is simply a twin site. HCTI, the BGIF, or ACamp will have to answer about the history of this site, but neither has offered a historical comparison. The BGIF offered an explanation from a certain angle.

Only thing I've noticed is that membership and active posters seem to have increased at least triple fold since I first joined. Used to be on average 90 folks signed in. Now it averages about 300. I have not noticed much chaos, other than what I create. (By the way, I discovered who it was that gave me the original Bambi avatar. Everyone seemed to get a kick out of it, so we all ran with it. Especially because I am, in fact, sexy. Just don't shoot my momma. You hear me Golden ITF?)


Looking forward to the arrival of lil NDinLA.

Sidenote: As far as the band "Chicago" goes, I had always considered them a good, classic band (from before my time), but they were average to me. As a kid, I was the oddball because everyone around me preferred classic rock, but I was the Earth Wind and Fire, Parliament Confunction, Commodores dork. My lady bought us some tix for a Chicago live show in a small theater in SoCal a few years ago, just before I started posting.

When Chicago came out for the encore (don't know who the lead singer was, it was not Peter Cetera) the guitars on 25 or 6 to 4 just about blew the roof off the house. I have never before or after felt such a charge.

Actually I've only been face to face with one poster, the guy that was seeing America by bus last fall. Billy crashed here for two days. I've seen photos of several others (ACamp was an exhibitionist before Facebook ... was stolen). Rumor has it he posted so many photos of himself (and his cats) that the owners had to ban photos to save bandwidth.
