Now that we've seen home and away, what does everybody think of the new uniforms? I like them, but I think I may like the previous ones better.

The things I've noticed are:

- Obviously, the interlocking ND on the shoulders.
- The blue looks brighter than before.
- All of the quarterbacks sleeves are too short, and their shoulder pads are falling out of thier jerseys.

The QB's jersey looks weird because the shoulder pads are not covered. Other than that they look awesome.

I like them. The blue actually looks blue instead of nearly black. The gold on the numbers and the pants looks a little lighter in color, which I like also. The sleeve length doesn't matter to me...functionality is more important. I do prefer the interlocking ND on the sleeves instead of the numbers.

I don't think the helmets look as gold as in years past. The qb sleeves look goofy but if it limits restriction then whatever.

I love them bringing the ND back on the sleeve. It looks great n everyone except Crist...who seems to have them cut short or something for better movement. But all in all, I always enjoyed the ND on the sleeve better than the numbers.

You can say I'm being picky, but it's always irked me that the pants aren't the same shade as the helmet. I think I have an issue, because it really upsets me when I see it.

Not sure why a regular jersey would limit Crist, becuase there's no other team in the country that has short sleeves like that.

And I was watching some highlights of the 2005 U$C - Notre Dame game the other day, and the helmets looked so much shinier than they do now.

yeah they are painting the helmets differently, with some kind of basecoat first, to limit the chipping that happened last year.

I dont understand this tho, whos cares if the helmet chips?

I agree, to hell with the chipping, let the gold shine and the student body do their thing after

I personally prefer the darker navy jerseys, and yes, would prefer pants to match helmet (its possible, UCLA does it)

Yeah the helmets are not as shiny.

Good pick up by Zemaniak, UCLA shows how to put together a perfect matching gold helmet and pant.

I've said it for years that the Irish have too far of a pale gold on their pants. It's kind of gross, but you'll notice when the players sweat the color gets a little darker, and better in my opinion.

I've also been in favor of dropping the metallic gold on the pants anyway. I like the way the 49ers look since they switched back and Boston College looks better this year too after dropping the metallic pants. Just so much more old-school and vibrant really.

Our quarterbacks look like they mistakenly put on one of the women's jerseys ND sells, or like they are freakin emo or something.

The new Adidas jerseys we have don't seem to fit anyone as well this year. I think ND should switch to Nike. Keep the same traditional look but rock the pro combat.

The interlocking ND looks better on the white than it does on the navy.

not exactly

not exactly

The road jerseys look better because the navy ND with gold trim looks better than the white ND with the gold trim. The white ND with the gold trim looks bad.

that's because of the gold outline shows off better in white

They will probably go back to the shiny gold helmets after the recession.

We should switch back to Champion... It takes a little more to make a Champion.

I love the look of when the paint gets chipped off near the end of the game.
