Straight Badassery. My dream hunt is there-Kodiak brown bear with a bow.
Been hunting there for the past 8 years: Black tail Sitka, Caribou, & Mountain goat. We take a float plane to the far side of the island and spend a week. Very spiritual experience and this will be the first year my buddy & I get to pass along the knowledge to our kids. Lots of large Kodiak bear out there

My son is playing fall ball and the coaches said he needed some assistant coaches. My wife said what do you think? I said nah we had an apple out of this bag with indoor soccer and it didn’t go well. A day went by no responses. My wife asked me again and i said I don’t think so. So I thought about it for a few minutes thinking I don’t have time for this. So I told my wife let Brayden make that decision. So we were talking to him about and he says Yes that’ll be cool. 3 practices and so far smooth.

I coached all of my boys for years. I don’t regret one minute regardless of some of the parents.

Good luck and enjoy the time.

Enjoy it while you can. Loved all the times at the diamond over the years. Also look back and I know I spent far too much time giving the umps grief. Relax and have fun creating memories with your son.

I second this. It has been roughly 7 years since my daughter's last club basketball tournament, and I still miss it. It still feels weird to sleep in on the weekends. My son does marching band, but it's just not quite the same feel.

My daughter is a junior in college and still playing soccer. They’re one of the better D2 teams in the country so they’re fun to watch. My son is a sophomore in high school and is his team’s #1 receiver. Of all the sports I’ve watched with my kids, nothing beats high school football. Especially in East Tennessee where the community really supports the local schools.

He scored on a 59 yard touchdown last week against a rival. Probably the most stressful experience of my life watching the ball in the air and praying he didn’t drop it. Can’t believe their season is already 40% done (they’re 3-1). I know I’m going to miss these days so I try to really soak it in. Not sure what I’ll do after he graduates.

Yeah, finishing up coaching never ends until they stop playing. It's constant.

Haven't posted in a few months and haven't really been in the mood, especially in the political arenas where I tend to dip into colorful exchanges with other guys. So...here goes:

In January my wife and I found out we were pregnant ( we have a 9 month old daughter), in February we found out it was twins, and in March we were told that one of the twins is not going to make it. Hands down worst day of our lives. They are twin boys, and twin A (confirmed through blood test) has Trisomy 18, a very rare genetic disorder. The wrong sperm found the wrong egg, and there's a 30% chance he doesn't make it to delivery. If he does, doctors tell us he will be gone within hours. My wife and I came home from that ultrasound and did nothing but cry on each other the whole day.

On the positive side, the twins are in different sacs so twin B is perfectly normal and healthy. The worst part is my wife is going to deliver two babies, one of whom we will take home and the other we will not. It's a complete mindfuck. Every day is bittersweet for us, and I don't wish this on anyone.

IE brothers...the Leppy's will take all the prayers we can get. But only our parents and siblings know about this whole situation, so do us a favor and keep this between us.

Press on and Go Irish
After 38 weeks, the Leppy twin boys were born yesterday at 4pm within 10 minutes of each other. It's been a difficult journey and one that isn't over. Twin A (Gabriel, who had Trisomy 18), survived pregnancy but was only with us for a short time before going to heaven. His brother Nolan is perfect and healthy. Our priest was here to baptize them together as soon as they came out. Mama is recovering and all is well on that front.

We are going to be a mixed bag of emotions for some time, but want to thank the IE prayer warriors. Things went exactly as the docs explained and we will be OK.

Prayers, Leppy. I can't imagine the roller coaster of emotions you guys have gone through. I'll be praying for your family, love to Nolan and Gabriel who's with the Lord.

What a tough thing for you and your family to have to go through, Leppy. There are no words to make it easier. Just know that you've got a lot of people here thinking of you and your wife, and hoping you come to terms with it all and find peace as soon as possible, brother.
