Anderson was never the same after that. Not saying that’s what precipitated his fall from MLB but he looked like a rising superstar for a minute there. So I guess we’ve learned that if you’re going to fight another player, make sure it’s a White Sox.
He was going down the shitter before that happened.Anderson was never the same after that. Not saying that’s what precipitated his fall from MLB but he looked like a rising superstar for a minute there.
I think that Dodgers pounding in June really destroyed the Yankees self-belief. They've never been the same.I'm still waiting on Hal to fire Boone. Does this guy never learn?
As much as I'd love that I think my Tigers are running out of steam. They've been a very mediocre baseball team since Memorial Day. Too many injuries in the rotation and an extremely lackluster trade deadline to address it, bats have cooled off, bullpen is atrocious which is arguably the most important piece of the team come October.Give me a Detroit v Milwaukee World Series, please.
On the heels of an OKC v Indiana NBA Finals? Yes.
Tigers have arguably the best pitching coach in MLB. That has paid dividends for the young staff. As much as I'd love that I think my Tigers are running out of steam. I think it will be the Yankees/Mariners in the ALCS and that would be a toss-up, IMO.
I don't disagree but even he has had a tough time getting the replacements to Jobe, Olson and Mize (the latter who is back in the rotation but hasn't quite returned to pre-IL form) to live up to the billing.Tigers have arguably the best pitching coach in MLB. The number of errors in the field are amazing. Judge canceled out a lot of the issues, but with him on the injury list the problems have floated to the top. Still waiting on Hal to fire Boone.I dislike the Yankees so much but damn if they don’t have a terrible coaching staff.
Who needs enemies when you got teammates like this.

From what I read, teammates confronted Valdez in the locker room after the game and there was plenty of yelling going on.No rational fan thinks that was an accident. Valdez can say otherwise all he wants. What sucks is Salazar can’t retaliate b/c he’s the 3rd string catcher and knows the front office will DFA his ass if he starts trouble. Valdez is a proven entity so they won’t do anything to him. What needs to happen is the team leaders step up and address it in a closed door meeting before it festers and gets out of control.

I think you forgot a team.the Blue Jays have really good at bats. The Yankees are feast, famine, famine...its home runs or nothing. The bottom of the 6th was just LOL. walk (finally), big swing out, big swing out, big swing out.
the officials?I think you forgot a team.
Thanks. Does "Heard" mean yes in the US?Heard
They’re called Umps in the US, btw
My bad man. I just assumed that you were picking up what I dropped.Thanks. Does "Heard" mean yes in the US?
Damn, the umps have been bad lately.
That umpire from the Yankees v Astros serious (called a "dubious" no catch on McMahon to say the least) - I can't think of a worse umpiring / refereeing performance than his, ever.My bad man. I just assumed that you were picking up what I dropped.
Yes, an umpire’s job is not easy. They all interpret the zone/corners differently. As a hitter (and I’d assume a pitcher), you just ask for consistency
That was so bad when you consider they didn’t correct it on replay. Can’t wait for the ability to appeal balls/strikes next season. After watching it in ST, it was pleasantly surprising that it doesn’t delay the game as much as current replays. That umpire from the Yankees v Astros serious (called a "dubious" no catch on McMahon to say the least) - I can't think of a worse umpiring / refereeing performance than his, ever.
Actually, probably some from the 1980s Australian cricket tour of India.
