Well, this thread has certainly strayed a bit.

Other than the fact that the unfortunate incident occurred on the outskirts of the Texas A&M campus there is no connection to A&M and college football.

That is not to say that it's not worth discussing, but that the thread heading is a bit skewed, though understandable for a number of reasons.

Can you grow guns and bullets in a garden like you can with marijuana? How much more effort does it take to make/find guns and bullets than it does to make/find drugs? (If both were illegal.)

No, you can't grow them in your garden but you can reload your own bullets and you can make your own guns. They won't be as sleek as manufactured weapons but you'd be just as dead if shot with a home made weapon.

In the event weapons were banned you would guarantee that the drug cartels, survivalists, militia types, and the wealthy would still have them.

Using the principals that guerillas used going back to Roman times, you take them from those that have them (cops/guards) and you raid the places where they keep them (police stations/national guard).
