Thanks Peoria, help me out with this one if you would...

Gotcha. For future reference, on photobucket, when you click on the picture you want to load, look on the right side of the page. There will be 4 choices; Email & IM, Direct, HTML, and IMG. Copy what is in the box next to IMG then paste it over here. That should allow the picture to show up normal.

Really like the heart. I think if I get something, it will be anatomical. I'm in the medical field, and love anatomy, so it would make sense.

Nothing quite like being big brother, haha

Yeah, the Pisces symbol took about 4 hours and the heart with connecting veins took around 5

Also, as a side note, and a piece of advice for first timers, make sure you trust your artist's work!

If you're going in for a custom piece, and their original sketch looks a little "cartoony" run for the door

Unless you want some cookie cutter tribal arm band....

So, that's a pisces symbol on your back? Cool that it's all original and with meaning. I will post pics of some of mine later.

I am the oldest out of 5. I wouldn't put my siblings names on me - over time, once we ended up disowning each other, I'd look like an ex-MCer with blotches after the tats were "removed". lol!

Yeah, I've never been the kind of guy to go into a parlor and browse the sample books.

With the two I have, albeit they're both rather large, I kind of built them up and took the description to the artist and we came up with the final design together.

Haha, hey I could understand about the sibling thing. Every situation is different though

New one took about 8 hours. We talked and he then drew it on me. That took about 3 hours in itself. We had lunch, he prayed on it (Buddist group prayer) and then about 5 hours to needle it. The middle serpent on the knife was what I had done in Germany. I wanted the triskele-and his work is everything else-based on the 4 elements-earth, wind, water, sun.

The other ones are much older-hearts are my 3 kids (Shamrock, Shillelagh, Leprechaun (my nicknames for them). 4th kid is SOL-I disowned him so no tat-haha.

Did he use a tattoo gun? Or go with the metal stencil?

It looks very cool

He used a regular tat gun after free-handing the design. His style is very nature-ish, somewhat Maori, which if I ever did get another, it would be Maori style.

his web page:

www.thaitattoo-angelart.com

It was his unique style that drew me to him.
