The problem this would create if Freeman goes say 10-3 and you can him is good luck finding somebody who wants to come here after watching the previous coach get fired after going 19-7 in his first two full years. Thats about a 73% winning percentage, or about the same as Bobby Bowdenās career winning %, and not far off from guys like Pop Warner, RC Slocum, Woody Hayes, Dan Devin, Phillip Fulmer, and dozens of other great coaches throughout history. It would be foolish and set the program back. We arenāt talking about a guy who has been a head coach 10 years with a record of above average results who you cN identify quickly is not the answer. We are talking about a young, charismatic guy with a ton of ambition and willingness to work for it.
He has proven to be a fast on the job learner, is talented as a coach, and while he may trip on his own dick a few times and learn some lessons the hard way, he is a guy who if you let him go now m, he will be killing it on somebody elseās sidelines in 5 years and everyone will be pissed and wondering how or why you let him go, reliving Urban Meyer all over again, just with a high character, great representative of your university.
Your opinion is extremely short sighted.
