I mean he only saw the field out of necessity due to injuries. Should he have been playing anyway? Yeah but clearly the coaches didn't have him in the original plan

Regardless, he saw the field a lot and was mvp of the bowl game. Who gives a shit what your number is? If you’re good enough, you’re going to play. I’m sure Freeman and the rest of the coaching staff didn’t say “we can’t play him because he doesn’t have a so called cool number.”

If I remember correctly, I believe you have to earn the single digits as a contributor or upperclassmen. Other than QB, I think Raridon is the only player on the roster that wore a single digit their freshman year. The non freshman get dibs on the cool numbers so the freshman basically get the Scraps (Richardson). Once the freshman become upperclassmen and the single digits open, they'll take them. Happens every year.

should see more talented special teams as kids wont get processed as much but that will be the same for most power 4 teams. Group of 5 teams should suffer because of it.
