I thought it was egotistical for a team to be independent.
As a lawyer, this is also all bullshit.
Remember the scene in Meet Joe Dirt where they think Jaime Pressley is his sister.I'm stocking up on bottled water, batteries and canned food for the idea that it could be James Franklin.
If Penn State beats Michigan, I can't think of how disgusted and pleased I'm going to be simultaneously is going to equate to my survival. Several vital organs could fail me.
You don't need a legal basis to file a lawsuit. This is America!Everything I’ve read says the other B1G AD’s & President’s want “immediate action.”
According to the B1G Conference’s own rules, a vote by the Presidents supersedes all else & is legal.
So if the Presidents vote to punish Michigan, what lawsuit can Michigan file?
If they force Michigan to vacate the first 8 games, or vacate all B1G games, in either circumstance Michigan would not have enough wins to play in the B1G Title game or the CFP.
Seems simple to me.
B1G Presidents vote.
Michigan vacates.
All of which is legal & in Conference bylaws.
Michigan has no legal basis for a stand.
Michigan lawyers can go pound sand.
I guess the question is, define investigate? You don't need a legal basis to file a lawsuit. This is America!
According to Michigan President email the BIG has to investigate before they act. If true, my guess is that's what they rely upon.
USC with 3 losses and Harbaugh getting indefinitely suspended salvages the weekend.
Yeah, I've reached the point of the college football season where I have nothing left but to root for teams I don't like to lose.USC with 3 losses and Harbaugh getting indefinitely suspended salvages the weekend.
You forgot LSU and those grown ass men who bark at random strangersYeah, I've reached the point of the college football season where I have nothing left but to root for teams I don't like to lose.
Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Miami, USC...let 'em all burn.
If you think Michigan is going to avoid any kind of punishment from this, start adjusting your expectations now. It's comes down to not being ridiculous about it. Stallions being on CMU's sideline is not the worst violation in league history. The advanced scouting stuff, which may not be illegal technically, does intensify the scrutiny of the lack of oversight.
I'm not making the case for punishment, but I am explaining to you why I think it's coming. The sideline presence is what moved this from "no punishment" to "some punishment" IMO.
The question is when, not if.
But they are gonna sue the league. Seeking an injunction may at least be in the realm of possibility to prevent league action but no one at Michigan is stupid enough to just hand over discovery power to the B1G when they already planted their flag on the denial death hill.“Stallions being on CMU’s sideline is not the worst violation in league history”.
Haha, a coach who actively engages your own teams coordinators during every game was caught impersonating a member of another coaching staff in order to get onto the sideline and it’s categorized as not the worst in league history. Whatever amount of contempt you have for these people, it’s not enough.

I’m almost there. The fact that Webb is using all his language gymnastics to ultimately admit illegality, to me, shows that the wrath we all want Michigan to get is going to happen. It’s going to be ugly. It’s going to be long. And they’re going to come out looking even worse than they do now.
