I will never be able to wrap my head around how this guy continues to fall up.

Head coach of USC to OC of Bama isn't falling up. He went from being the main man at a top 5 program to an assistant of a 5-10 program.

It's going to sound and look really weird seeing him at Bama.

reason is because he can recruit and coach offense. as we have seen with petrino or any other sports figure it dosent mean shit what your personality is as long as you contribute to winning

And I thought it was due to Lane's wife that was getting him hired...

I'm not sure what's so funny.

Top 5 coaching gigs IMO (no order):

USC, Texas, ND, Ohio State, Florida/FSU/A/M all fight for last spot because of location and/or conference affiliation.

Once Saban leaves, Alabama is going to have a bunch of titles, but it's still going to be the state of Alabama. If you've ever lived in Florida, California, Texas, I doubt you want to migrate to Alabama.

Just my opinion, sorry to everyone who's getting mad, but I'm glad I could provide your morning giggle.

Colin Cowherd is absolutely killing Michigan today regarding their "message" board homers. LOL. He is basically saying everything said here. That Hoke is on his way out and that Saban basically showed Nussmier the door and that Michigan fans were all" we stole Nussmier from Bama." Pretty funny.

If you think Bama is a more desired coaching job than Texas/ND/USC/Florida's, then I think you're the special one, lol.

The fans are crazy, and the state is awful relative to Texas/USC/Florida.

Why not? We have our houses on wheels, we put football before everything, and our kids graduate from high school reading at about a fourth grade level. Cost of living is cheap - unless you want to put 24"s on your house, the weather is great except for the occasional hurricane or tornado, and if you have a job you can call in on Fridays and still keep it. How can it get any better?

If Saban and BK both hypothetically retired today, do you think the best possible replacement is going to choose 'Bama or ND?

I put a lift kit and some 33" Mickey Thompson's on my grandfather's house.

Why don't you check out his IE profile for information on the recruit. Maybe that will help with the confusion.

^^^^^^^^^This!!!!!!

It's too bad ALL the information can't ALWAYS literally be right in front of us on IE. It sucks that we have to look into other threads (oh, the horror!) or sometimes consult other sites on the internet thingy for info.

And please stop now with the Alabama isn't an absolute top coaching destination talk-- it's embarrassing...and trollish.

It may not be every single coach's ultimate #1 job (considering what all jobs are out there in the same season, i.e., if Texas, usc, ND, and alabama were all available at the same time), but it's on the Mt. Rushmore of gigs...and this isn't even debatable.

USC, Ohio State, Texas, ND, Florida(s), possible A/M all more desirable coaching jobs IMO than Alabama. Location, quality of life, tradition, more tolerable fans, all of that plays a factor in where you want to work when you have your choice of anywhere in the country.

Did I mention quality of life?

If that bothers you and makes you all itchy, then get mad and call names, and we'll agree to disagree.

Are you really using this to try to make your point? How about adding in a visual of South Bend, IN?
