For those of you that understand some of this shit from a defensive standpoint—how plausible is it that they’re being taught to STAY engaged in order to free up the linebackers to “make plays.” We used to coach our tackles, especially, to do this at times in a three-front defense.

I was a DL coach and played DL. This is what we were taught and somewhat what I was teaching from 2002-2014. It’s the only thing I can think makes sense.
