Can you start with the head coach

Maybe. Maybe not. But somebody was responsible. It probably wasn't Freeman in that moment, but it's Freeman's job to make the tough decision after that big of a screw up.

As an example, in my legal job, if I don't file something by a deadline, I'm fired. Straight up. They might even be sad about it because I'm good at my job, but there's expectations. Football at this level is a big boy business as we've discussed. If nobody loses their job over this, I have no idea what that says about the expectations at Notre Dame. I said it's in the other thread, but it's straight up malpractice.

If forced to focus on the good, I can’t say enough about how amazing the secondary was.

They balled out all game, and the last drive was more a schematic failure than a coverage failure. They legit looked like a top tier SEC unit all game.

The players did their job across the board, and the entire staff needs to take the blame, apologize to them for falling short schematically, and lay out a plan to ensure it never happens again.

I thought the underclassmen skill players played very well too. And Hartman was good when they let him throw.

Hartman to me was very average overall.

He didn’t really have many opportunities to show his skill IMO. Not really any home run balls thrown, and seemed like hitting the TE for 10 yards was a pretty easy call to make every throw.

I thought he had great poise back there, rarely looked flustered and as you say, didn’t get to throw downfield much (+20 yards).

Osu and nd both had tons of drives that ate up clock that came away with zero points. Hartman took what they gave him at first then Knowles adjusted then we adjusted and it just came down to to many missed opportunities we miss a field goal and we don't convert on a 4th and 1 inside their territory
