Anyone with an extra ticket? Might want to fly in this weekend. Penn V Elkhart and then Notre Dame V Purdue.... I think all 4 teams have pretty much the same color helmets.

Check with the ND ticket office when public sales start August 19. You should have no problem finding 5 for this one as long as you get on that night.

This will be my first time attending a game at Notre Dame Stadium and I am looking for suggestions/recommendations to make this a great experience for my son and I. I will be bringing my camper so are there any good campgrounds near Campus?

I'm not sure about campgrounds around campus, but when do you plan on getting to campus? How old is your son? gameday.nd.edu will have a event list of all the things to do on campus on a football weekend including stadium tours, pep rally, band concerts, player walk, etc. Most of those things are must dos for first time visitors.

The only two campgrounds I know of that are near campus (within 5-6 miles) are

spauldinglake.com
(Niles Michigan)

koa.com/campgrounds/south-bend
(South Bend/Elkhart North KOA Holiday)

I have not stayed at either as I live here but the spaulding lake had much better reviews and it is about 2 miles from my house. I also think they allow RVs to park early near campus so you may be able to stay in one of the RV lots Thursday-Sunday

hope that helps

Potato Creek state park is about 25 minutes south of campus. Another place to check out.

My dad and I did our first ND game back in 2016. Get to campus early or visit the day before...or both! So much to see if you are a lifelong fan (as your name suggests).

The have a specific area for RV right by the credit union, but I'm pretty sure they don't allow you to get there early. It's also very pricey to park there. The wife and I camped at Potato Creek. I forget which game it was, but all the hotels around Plymouth were booked so we decided to throw the tent in the trunk and rough it for a night.

Just a reminder that Purdue has also not been good at football for years. Might be worth taking the over...

Purdue routed uconn this week after their coach was essentially fired. UCONN after not playing last year would maybe go 0-12 against an fcs schedule. Purdue beat Oregon State somewhat close in week 1. Oregon State doubled up Hawaii at home last night.

I can't believe I get to have an aneurysm at the stadium next Saturday. That is if my 81 year old grandfather doesn't have a heart attack and beat me to it.

I'm sorry, I can't tell if you were being
macabre
frivolous
serious

but your post made me laugh.

It also reminded me of the root meaning of the word "fan" from "fanatic>"

I hope you and your grandfather have a great time. And survive!!!!!!....
