Moving on from Peacock... Toledo really is experienced but I wonder how good they are . Top ranked MAC team on 247 recruiting rankings five years running. Avg around 70th nationally. Zero 4 stars during that period but 3 stars at virtually every spot. Ratings usually 80-85, highest rated guys are mostly transfers.

But more than the recruiting rankings performance hasn't been that great. They went 7-6 in 2018, 6-6 in 2019 and 4-2 in 2020 with no divisional MAC titles.
No non conf games last year. Got smacked around by Miami and Fresno St in 2018, played Kentucky tough in 2019 and beat BYU at home. So they're really just an above average MAC team. We should win comfortably although Freeman's "prevent" defense could get another opportunity to excite us.

I could have seen this game being closer if we would have trounced FSU. But I'm sure after the close call, BK and co. are reminding the boys that this is an experienced, veteran team coming in with an upset on their mind after we didn't play very well to finish the game on Sunday.

I think we are going to see an amped, focused group looking to make a statement on Saturday in front of 80k+ fans.

Who the hell does Toledo have on their team that can cover Michael Mayer? Double team him, Austin and Lenzy are going to have a field day. And I think we will see more success running the ball. I just don't see how we don't cover the spread. 42-21 Irish.

Toledo is definitely advantaged from the COVID rule. Lots of returning experience which can trump a lot of deficiencies.

We also have two DEs that could be draft prospects Deshuan Johnson, and Jamaal Hines, although a bit undersized. Tuzzar Skipper (ND transfer), and Ola Adeyni were also undersized ends who made the NFL recently for Toledo. Its a crapshoot.

The D needs their injured guys to play (Holt, Anderson) to have a chance. Togetherness and scheming NDs not together Oline... paired with an off day from Coan would be key.

I believe the archived games will be at least on the NBC Sports App, there is a section in the app for Notre Dame football and Replays. The game is being streamed live only on Peacock, but replays should be available both on the 'cock and NBC Sports, and possibly Fighting Irish TV afterward.

I suspect Coan will have a “fall back to earth” day tomorrow as he really lit up the stat sheet last Sunday. Like others, I’m glad FSU was a tight game if it means they are focused on improving their issues this week vs Toledo. Otherwise, ND could totally sleep walk through this. They still probably will to an extent so I’m almost glad I won’t be watching live.

I consider myself a pretty avid Irish fan but I confess I don’t recall a Tuzzar Skipper playing DE for ND.

I guess he didnt. It was someone in the past 6 seasons though and im fairly sure it was a DE or OLB. Larry Black one of our position coaches also spent time at ND in the past few years.

We dont lol. If we do its new... Bradly just didnt win the job over the summer. Finn was Mr. Football in Michigan but came in with a log jam of young guns in the QB room. I guess we will have to see Saturday. Id honestly rather not use him unless Bradly is just awful in the first 3 series. Gleason the GT transfer is more of a pocket passer that i prefer.
