You know, I am not one to usually blame refs...and the way our defense played Michigan probably would have came back and scored to win like in 2011 so I'm not saying the refs cost us the game...that was done by a defense giving up 41 points. But, for those of you with a DVR, go back and watch the BS PI call on Jackson. Not only did one ref call the PI which was horrible, but the other ref waived it off saying he was out of bounds. Had they made the right call, we would have had the ball with 6:42 to play as his left foot came down inbounds. So tired of the Michigan BS and how the calls always go their way at home. No wonder Hoke is undefeated at home.

1 bad pick and several questionable calls cost us a chance to win. Those 2 PI calls wewere terrible.

Hats off to UM. See you down the road. Gardener is still a tool, farleys coverage was still clean.

PKT, 1 bad pass? Did you watch the game. The last INT was thrown to the wrong guy--TE and TJ were way more open.

Threw behind GAII

Late throw to Amir for an incompletion.

Int

over threw Daniels

over threw TJ

Threw late to TJ in the end zone.

So, incorrect on 1 bad pass. He could have had 2 touchdowns if he threw correctly. And 2 less ints. By themselves that is 4 passes. Sorry, the defense is still more at fault. But, Tommy is equallly as bad tonight.

I agree that he probably had more than one bad throw tonight....but, I really don't think he played bad. The first pick was bad. The second one was out of desperation. He probably didn't need to be desperate, but it isn't like he was terrible. I thought he made some decent throws. He had to be perfect tonight for us to win, and he wasn't. I'm not going to kill a guy for not being perfect.

As usual, Michigan won a game because six or seven plays that could have gone either way went their way. I've never seen anything like it.

This

I didn't think Tommy played awful. Great? No but not he did enough good things. 30 points should be enough to win.

Rees did not play well. But he didn't play like total crap either against a solid D. His first INT was an atrocious game changer.... but we put the entire game on his shoulders by falling behind early, and that's simply NOT where he is going to thrive.

This game was lost when Diaco came out with a horrible gameplan in the first half and we were put in a massive hole. All of my fears were realized... he asked LBs/DBs to simply do things they cannot do and they got worked. He absolutely 100% needs to be more aggressive and live with a couple big plays, because playing passive against a mobile QB is going to lead to them anyways when the QB gets 1v1 with out unathletic linebackers.

Diaco can't help it when tuitt stands up and doe nothing...only reason he had the int is he was 7 seconds behind shembo...

How can any of you bash Rees? He had 1 bad INT but we scored 30 points and lost. This one is on the D!!!

I don't think you can 'blame' him for the loss, but he was merely average when he had to be great. And that first INT was such a nail in the coffin...(And not all of those 30 points are because of him anyway.)

The defense was ill-prepared to deal with a pretty standard Michigan offensive scheme. Maybe Gardner is that good, maybe he and Gallon will both be frontrunners for the Heisman. I doubt it.

Temple probably should have scored about 17-20 points last week, but they were just inept in so many ways. The defense has some holes and an overall lack of speed. I thought we were done with the years when the defense looked a step slower than other top tier teams.

Solid d from Michigan? God their defense is just as bad as ours. We just don't have a Gardner at qb.

Fortunately this is probably the best offense we will face all season. The d really needs to clean it up. Gave up way to many big plays. Also on the upside USC, Oaklahoma, Michigan State and Purude all look terrible! Haha

Hopefully they are thinking "we are two games into our careers. Can't wait til its my turn to play." If they want to transfer because they didn't play in their second game in a hostile road environment, then they're idiots.

The last time I saw the D play this bad was versus Navy in Jersey a few years back. A lot of questionable calls by the officials, but the D let us down big time, and is the real reason we lost. They waited till the fourth to bring it, but by then it was too late, and still sporadic. They had no answers for the read option which is baffling because this is all Michigan has done for years. I hate losing to these low rent losers on a good day, but after the comments their coach joke made this week I'm just sick to my god damn stomach!

Curious to read/hear recruits comments that were at the game and are being jointly recruited. Hoping for an Elmer moment.

BS Martin is lost. If turnover tommy has anything , it is plant raise elbow , throw floater, hope wr makes a play...that is all.

At least give tommy boy a shot at that!

Lol what? Stanford is going to roll us and will be the best team we play. Including the bet offense.

Shark I am scared of the same thing. Tranfers of high talent sure scares me. We are losing Nix and Tuitt next year. What super high quality guys are replacing them? That will be a drop off. That scare me.

But, losing all of these high Q transfers scare me. Way more than any other good team (EV, Gunner, Lynch, Neal, Furg-ok not a huge loss.

Now, guys like Jaylon, Max, Bryant*, Torean*, Rochelle, Luke, DAvarius, etc. keep me off the ledge of losing these transfers.

Sorry, just scares me. Then my other side of my brain says--play hard with the guys who love ND.

RI, I love your opinions all the time, and maybe this is because I'm 16 beers into my case, but you don't recruit STUD players then let them sit behind guys who they're better than (GAIII).. it kills their morale, and their desire to stick with "the plan".. other schools have no problem playing their stud 5* or high 4* recruits

Lax I would rep you but I cant but I agree with all of this. Its dumb to blame Rees. Plain and simple our D sucks including the much huped line with Tuitt and Nix and Diaco is not a good coach. Tje defense just sucks and when you give up over 40 points its a joke to blame it on the QB or offense that put up 30.

I admit I have been imbibing, and that I am also inclined to believe that coincidence is a concept designed for the propagandized mind. But at some point I would like to hear some intelligent thoughts on how the line moved the way it did pre-game and those two pass interference calls on ****Michigan's last drive. Those were two of the worst calls I have seen in a while and they were made by ACC officials. Why am I supposed to believe that the powers that be, that dislike Notre Dame, are advocating for cheaters like Miami, line steppers like Alabama, and those obviously trying to tear down amateur athletics like J. Manziel, who finally get us on THEIR network, are above tipping the scales on a call or two on a critical drive. These guys will sabotage the Miami investigation but not talk to an official or two? I have been watching for a long time, but I believe the game has been compromised. I am not saying we played great, but there is no excuse for the calls on BJ and MF.
