I've never done that for a night game (I've just used tickets from my in-laws), but I've done it for LOTS of games, even big games, and the most I've ever paid was $20 for Oklahoma (lower bowl, 40 yard-line), and that was only because I didn't wait long enough - I think I could have gotten them for cheaper actually had I waited until kick-off. For the epic Stanford game, in the rain, I got a ticket for $6. I missed the first drive, but hell, for $6, I wasn't complaining.

Now, when I'm with my wife or a buddy, I always have tickets already because most people don't like the anxiety of not having tickets. So maybe it's tougher to find a cheap ticket when you have 2-4 people. But man, I get offered tickets at regular price all the time, especially at tailgates, and I always decline. I just wait and wait and wait (and drink) until close to kickoff, then go towards the gates, and I always find something, because people get desperate and want to get at least something for the tickets. And forget scalpers, most of the time I get them from normal people who had a friend that bailed on them and they want to some money for food.

That's my take anyway. It hasn't failed me yet, but if it does, Brother's is just around the corner, and at least there you can order a drink.

Want to hangout at the Michigan game?

I think the Michigan game would be a good time for the IE tailgate that many of us have been trying to plan for the past 2 years. It's a night game so that would give us a solid 4 more hours to drink and get in fist fights

I'm going with condumnSuck, and I might get crazy and rent a house on campus.

If anyone would be interested in that set up, let me know (We'll toilet paper Wooly's new house Friday night).

Rent the house on the corner of Angela and Notre Dame Avenue. That house is sweet and is always jumpin' on football Saturdays. It seems to be really nice from the outside so it's probably expensive

In went to a school with 60,000 people in the city and ~10,000 in the school, but we always had big homecoming parties (there's nothing else to do in Wisconsin).

One homecoming, I was having the party (my roommates didn't want to pitch in because they had graduated the year before and didn't know as many students, and weren't sure we'd have enough people to cover the cost - jokes on them).

I got a free beer truck through a friend (it was a mobile beer trailer that had 3 taps on one side, 3 on the other, and it was refrigerated so no ice needed), and bought 8 half barrels through the same friend for $400 total (I gave him $100 for his trouble.

I was broke at the time, so I was sweating it out, hoping I'd get most of my money back. I told friends to tell friends, and homecoming Saturday came and it was the greatest day ever.

What was awesome is, everyone bought a $5 cup, but most people went to another party in an hour so they didn't take up space/beer, but by 1pm, we were still out of the 8 half barrels, and I have made $800 total ($300 net). I called the friend who was nice enough to deliver us 4 more half barrels (12 total). At 4pm, we ran out of the next 4 half barrels, and I was at $1,200 made that day.

We were literally calling to get more kegs when the cops finally came and gave me a $400 ticket for a disorderly party. We had to make everyone leave, and obviously cancelled the order of more kegs (I honestly think we would have went through 20 no problem).

At this point, I was $700 in on beer, $400 on a ticket, and had $1,200 cash upstairs at $5 per cup. So with the ticket, I'm netting $100, which is more than I hope for, so I was happy.

Fought the ticket, got it dropped, so I ended up netting $500 that day and having the time of my life. As Ice Cube would have said, today was a good day.

I'm thinking we cover the cost of the house of the Michigan game with something like this, lol.

Edit: Pic below is of pre-party (that table set up is of a game we invented called 'beer di'. Once we started playing that, we never played beer pong again. It's like going from a 200 LB trailer lady to one of Acamp's Asian friends), and of the beer trailer, but it doesn't do it's awesomeness justice. Beer trailers rock.

The HC shirts we made for that year said 'weekend's forecast' on the front, and on the back it said 'mostly hammered with a slight chance of getting laid'.

Renting a house is a cool idea. You should do it and I'll stop by and drink your beer lol.

Aren't you like 19?

You can enjoy a chilled Fresca but we'll put it in a solo cup so the ladies think you're cool :).

I actually turned 20 last month. It's all good though because I look a little older than 20.

Have you tried that line at the bars? Lol.

I wouldn't actually have a party if I rented a house though. Too much clean up in too little time, I don't know anyone in South Bend, and I want to be able to come and go.

I would consider splitting up a house though if people were interested.

Yes I have! I've tried it 3 times and only got carded once haha

It seems like there will be plenty of IE guys in town that weekend, so I'm sure we could tailgate or something.

House isn't rentable haha. I've partied with the guys who own it. Most expensive house property in the area.

Jimmy, name the price for your house for that weekend. You and your roommates can crash some ladies house for the weekend!

Pole 7 in the parking lot is where it's at. Let's all go there and sip on some Natty Lights

I can definitely see why. The outside of the house is so nice, I can only imagine what the inside looks like. The location of the house doesn't hurt either lol

I'm never wrong.

I'm weird and always look forward to the prize inside.
