Holtz, the Option Master, transitioned from the Option to Pro Set because he couldn't recruit high skill WRs to ND any longer.

After he left ND and went to So Carolina he was a Pro Set coach.

Watch a tape of ND v OSU games in the mid 90s. They keyed on the dive while the DE's boxed. They shut ND down.
