Ticket increases seem to be the norm in an era where it shouldn't be. with so many options on TV.. I almost want to just do tailgates and then walk to a bar to watch it..

I think they're going the appropriate route. Targeted price increases for high-demand games while keeping lower-demand games reasonable.

Lower bowl and upper bowl need to be different prices - for every game. Charge $250 between the 20s for MSU, USC type games, $150 for pretty much every other one. $50 upper endzones for Duke, Nevada, etc would sell that out a lot faster and make it more of a shot worth taking.

This segregation would make my lottery submission so much easier. I would make the trip for better seats for a lot of games - but the risk of getting garbage seats keeps me on the sidelines (see what I did there) - If I am traveling 1000 miles I'm not doing it to be row 100 in the endzone, but I will pay extra and actually make the trip for good seats.

ND is wise to bridge the gap between scalper prices and face value - they just need to realize that all seats in the stadium are not created equal.

Not just upper bowl and lower bowl. At ND stadium, that's only part of the story. If you're in the endzone, upper bowl is a MUCH better seat than lower bowl. We had first row endzone freshman year and you couldn't see a damn thing on the other side of the field.

I stood on the grass next to the Air Force band once, that was a cool experience. If you look on StubHub you will be hard pressed to find upper endzones priced higher than lower endzones anywhere. But hey, that creates an arbitrage opportunity for your value.

We had last row, upper bowl to the left of the end zone and I loved those seats. No one kicking me in the back. Lots of room. And you could see everything clearly. Plus there was space between the bleacher and wall behind us to put all the crap we'd bought that day. Would love to sit there again.

Top-row corner is awesome.

Never had top-row middle, but I'm sure that's even better. I love getting a view of the entire field as each play unfolds. It's like watching the entire game via coach cam.

Also, when I had top-row corner, it was Air Force in 2011. Stealth bomber flew over. Felt like I could reach up and touch it. One of the coolest (and most awe-inspiring) things ever.

FWIW, Wiltfong had MSU winning this game before the season started. But after seeing MSU have offensive struggles in week 1 and seeing that Kizer is a much better player than last year, he gives ND the advantage.
