Bryant and Folston should be playing in the first half, regardless of score....

Well that would probably ensure Rees is done for the season.

"Sorry man, I haven't gotten to the chapter on audibles yet. Didn't realize that blitzer was mine. Why'd the trainer say 'that looked worse than Theismann's?"

Bryant's first snap of his career was an audible with motion and he seemed to get into position and execute just fine.

Well there you go. Proof positive he's got all the aspects of Div 1 play down pat.

What could Alford, Martin, and Kelly have been thinking about Saturday night? They should have given him the rock 25 times and ND would have won by 3 TDs.

No, Tommy would've checked into 55 pass plays.

Well you made an example of the freshman RBs not playing because they're not ready for audibles.

The notion that he, and most other freshman are too young to play meaningful reps, is growing extinct across the NCAA. Younger players are making a bigger difference than ever in college football (with the exception of the OL/DL for the most part). Everyone says stars don't matter, and they don't always, but if you look at the 4/5-star freshman that are playing big time football right now across the country, it's amazing. Coaches are doing a great job of getting the freshman to know the play books faster than I've ever seen before.

DBs/WRs/RBs and even QBs are coming in as freshman/sophomores and making huge impacts, hell, even flirting with heismans lately. The summer camps, private 'football' high schools, and 7 on 7s are probably to thank for this.

Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall were able to come in and play right away. Kelly's system is not that difficult compared to some pro style systems. Bryant can at least run the ball. I am a fan of Amir, but at least give Bryant and Folston a chance

As for the freshman playing in this game...BK was asked about this and the reporter inferred that they weren't playing because of the mental side of the game but BK said it was his and the staff's job to put the best players on the field and call plays that suit them. IMO, Bryant will know where to run to if that play is called. If Tommy audibles or adjusts protection, he can simply look at Bryant/Folston and tell him who to get...or the general vicinty of the blitz. If they can't see a blitzer running right at them and figure out that they should hit the guy, we didn't recruit the right guy. Get the these two guys in the game! We need an explosive back in there besides amir...atkinson/cam are not getting the job done. As well, can we run some screens or swings to some of these explosive backs and get them in space...that's for another show! lol

They should because they are our future, provided they've put in the proper work in practice. I have this sickening feeling Kelly will continue to pound square peg into round hole with GA III.

I agree. We have 4-5 better options. When you are blessed with a OL like ours, you attack the LOS and get your 5+yds.

What a terrible post. Nobody said that.

if none of the ND media call out BK for keeping GA3 in the game despite his drops then they are a disgrace to the profession

I think it's pretty clear BK has to have a QB to win (win big I mean)... Tommy is very respectable but I don't know if he's the QB BK needs...
