Anyway,... It is a different scheme though... If they are getting gashed up the middle and the front seven gets pushed around,... We have real problems... If they hold strong, I'd say we found something out....

That was Khalid kareem. Hayes played garbage snaps. Trumbetti has been awful so if Hayes can play why's he not? Trumbetti will get dominated again against msu.

The announcers credited Hayes #9 with the roughing penalty pointing out that he took a full step after the pass was away before hitting the QB.

BUT the official stats on the ND site credit the penalty to Kareem #5.

Hayes was credited with one assisted tackle on Special Teams after the ND FG in the second period.

Zero pass rush is an overstatement. Pressure on the QB caused both interceptions and caused a few more bad passes. Also should have caused a fumble but was ruled incomplete pass. We got to the QB behind the line once but it was a designed run so didn't count as a sack. Hoping for much more pressure going forward but we did get some push yesterday.
