The way they beat Nebraska sure didn't look like magic.

Does Nebraska look good to you, though? I watch these Big 10 teams, and honestly none of them look very impressive to me.

You're right. They have really been rolling us convincingly.

In the aggregate, ND has outscored Michigan over the last four games between them. Obviously, that means next to nothing, except that it goes to show Michigan certainly hasn't dominated the matchup.

I never said they dominated at all. But the scoreboard is the scoreboard, hard to argue with that.

I thought that is what you meant by "made us their bitch." Regardless, I'm not going to look at the last three years and believe we are doomed to keep living that scenario over and over for the rest of eternity. At some point the other shoe will drop. Its overdue already.

Karma is a b*tch. The devil will come to collect from scUM sooner or later, and I'll be there to watch with glee.

Well we do keep saying that Michigan will completely suck and then we continue to lose to them so maybe...

I think Michigan will win every game next year except their game against us!

Gee, I hope that works.

If Crist didn't get hurt in last year's game we beat them (outscored them 24-7 when that stud was behind center). If Crist doesn't get pulled vs. USF, we beat them this year.

100% facts that cannot be argued against.

Can't argue with the scoreboard either. And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. Err, giant DERP at the Crist/USF comment. Rees is is our guy, for better or worse, and there is no denying that.

Knowing how wildly inconsistent Crist is, I'm not so sure things would have turned out differently if he had played the whole game.

If...

There's a hundred. I won't offer any excuses, because there are none.

I was being sarcastic about it being fact, but there's no doubt in my mind that we beat them handily with Crist playing the whole game (2010). Like I said, we outscored them 24-7 while he was in and UM couldn't stop the fake run, QB keep going the opposite direction. BK let Crist run a few times that day and it made the offense look dynamic.

Yet leading up to this (2010) game this board was adamant in saying how ND's D was going to break Denard, but Crist goes out and now it's your go to excuse for why you lost. We've won three straight years, at what point do you stop making excuses?

My point is that when Crist wasn't out with the freak-eye injury, He ended up playing about 2/3 the game and during that time, Michigan was down 3 scores. I don't have a whole lot of substance to argue with you here considering UM has beat ND the last 3 years. But the 2010 game was all ND when Crist was playing.

Give me a break!!!!!!!! Yes a football game is 4 quarters, but don't sit there & deny the fact that Michigan got schooooooooled for 3 of those!!!! Excuses are not needed! We understand we lost & Michigan won. There's no excuses just pure evidence!! Watch the game back & perhaps that will jolt your memory!

We handed you the game on an f'ing platter!!!!!!

Why do you guys keep responding to the go blue ****? I assume that like me, many of you have had to associate with enough scUM fans to realize they are insufferably arrogant pieces of crap that don't believe in luck (worst refs ever - 2009, freak injury to Crist - 2010, Gary Gray playing for the other team - 2011) and think that UM is easily the best team in the country. There's no point arguing with them.

We gift wrapped that game for you. We lost that game more than you "won" it.

See you next year. Good luck with the BCS hunt.

And we should stop commenting on this thread. The game's over and having it on the front page only dredges up bad memories and gives the scUM **** more ammo.

It was one hell of game. From both sides. Kinda ironic how the first night game in both Michigan Stadium and ND Stadium featured this rivalry and were both classics.

Oh yeah, a real classic. This wasn't a back and forth game between two evenly matched teams that ended when the clock hit zeroes; that would be a classic. ND dominated the game until Gary Gray decided he wanted to become Michigan's MVP. That's not a classic, that is an epic fourth quarter meltdown. Hopefully one of the moderators will lock this thread. It gets me angry and I don't have nearly enough self-control to stop myself from commenting.

I know you're mad that your guys game out on the short end, but come on. It was a thriller that was decided in the final 30 seconds. Anyone denying this was a classic game in THE RIVALRY is kidding themselves. You guys won some classics in series as well. 1979, 1981, 1990.

Please.

It's a golden opportunity for our two resident scUM fans to subtly troll us, which they constantly get away with because we're far too tolerant.

I assume you meant 1980. Regardless, those were classics, as were other games where michigan beat ND in games that went back and forth. This year's game was not a classic. It was a horrible fourth quarter. And in none of the games you mentioned was there a cornerback who repeatedly refused to look back for hideously underthrown balls. Gary Gray was michigan's MVP that game. Honestly, it comes down to how you view a classic. I don't view a game that should have been put away if not for a renegade cornerback as a classic. I think a classic game is when two rivals are going back and forth and one team finally wins. That would hurt but not nearly as badly as this loss did. In that case, it would be a hard-fought game on both sides. This year's game was not, and is therefore not a classic.

By the way, I wouldn't have responded if not for your proper use of "you're" and "your". Few things **** me off as much as when people use them interchangeably.

I meant 1982 actually, the first night game at ND Stadium. I view classics as games where you think of the rivalry and say "Oh man, remember that game back in 2011? That was such an exciting finish in the first night game at Michigan Stadium!".

To each his own. It sucks that we've lost to horrible michigan teams with even more horrible quarterbacks in pretty much the exact same fashion three years in a row. I don't know what I'll do if we lose next year. Definitely something stupid and drastic.

Needless to say, that's not how I'll remember it. I'll remember as the game where I wanted to eviscerate Gary Gray, where I wanted to send a letter to the Pope asking him to excommunicate Gary Gray (until I realized he's probably not Catholic anyway), the game that caused me to almost break my foot, the game that caused me to break and subsequently replace a large amount of drywall and drop ceiling, the game that almost caused me to commit fratricide, and the game that almost made me never talk to one of my best friends again. I care too much, it's irrational.
