Two things I am noticing..... even with all the travel options available, there still appears to be a geographic divide/range for many of us. And Alabama and Mississippi are non visited shitholes.

I've been fortunate enough to have visited each of the lower 48 states at least twice and really gotten to see the country. About the only areas I haven't visited are Florida Keys and Michigan's UP. I'm with Wooly... there are beautiful and amazing places in every state that are well worth seeing. If you think "fly-over" country is worthless and populated with nothing but dull, uninteresting people, you're missing out.

I concur. I've been to 46, and damn if there isn't something beautiful in every state, and damn nice people and great food everywhere. I mean, Delaware, I could do without (sorry, Black Irish), but otherwise, it's really a hell of a country.

So only like a third of IE people have been to the Nutmeg State? Who doesn't want to see the fans of former NHL teams, the results of calamitous land-use lawsuits, and Asian people paying reparations to the natives?

It could be worse, though. One of these projects could have been completed, and then all Nutmeggers would be f*cked.

hell, I lived in CT for six years. Actually is a beautiful state inland from New Haven. Great pizza and ethnic food of many types -- Italian and Portuguese, esp. The state and local governments were uninspiring, however. Lots of hack politicians in both parties.

North Dakota's next, as my wife is from South Dakota and at some point when visiting I just need to drive a few hours towards Canada. Living in Massachusetts though, I've no idea why I'd go to Idaho or when I'll get to Alaska.
