"An injury lawyer 'licking is his lips' right now when a former 'NFL' player hits a 'College' kid and he gets injured". - My neighbor who is a finance attorney brought that up last night while we were watching the GT/CO fiasco. He said signed or not, he has been 'Professionally' trained against an 'Amateur' athelete and it could stand a precedence in a court.
I would love a court to rule the distinction is meaningless in college football.
Adults over 28 are paid $$ to do a job, they are not amateurs.

LSU should agree under the condition that all players under court “permission” can’t play.

Chambliss sure as shit doesn’t belong in college this year either.

They can be added to the 105-man roster later in the season as long as they are currently enrolled at LSU. They will not play in the season opener on Saturday night. The Tigers have two remaining roster spots.

How is this true?

Last year, people half jokingly wanted ND to add a student/soccer player to kick PATs and they were not able to even consider it, as the roster was locked past a certain date.

Is it only locked if you’re at 105?

Yes, ND's was locked because they submitted a roster with the max amount of players. Per the II podcast Thursday.

According to Pete Thamel, the SEC is not expected to take such action, but the filing indicates the seriousness of the league as it attempts to affirm the legal right to enforce its own rules.

Scumbag coach. Scumbag program. Scumbag administration. Scumbag state.

Kiffen and LSU are truly made for one another. Proverbial circus right from the get go and here we are the Tuesday after Labor Day.

I can't see them kicking them out.

I don't think that they ultimately get kicked out but they obviously aren't going to put themselves in a situation of having conference policy dictated by one member. So if LSU doesn't back down (and odds are that they will), I think they absolutely would proceed with removal. You don't win a game of chicken like this. We basically saw it play out with TT earlier where they ran their mouths and puffed their chests until it became a multi-state legal problem and then folded like a lawn chair.
