Citation needed. Looks like AI slop. I'm pretty sure we would remember more than 10 players being arrested per year since the year 2000.

I will say this, the influx of money seems to have caused early professional maturity for most of the kids in the sport. Anecdotally, it seems like you hear about way less drinking, weed, general stupidity than you used to across the country.
Then there’s gawja.

Pretty sure those numbers are ridiculously incorrect. I do agree though that it does seem like there’s less arrests these days even when I thought the $ influx would have caused an increase in stupidity.

So there is a lot of "buzz" all over Texas message boards and the internet in general that Texas is imploding with locker room issues

Some version of Arch being terrible, kids skipping practice because they aren't happy with PT, and all kinds of other stuff.

Kiffin will take them to court saying he got his pros before the SEC banned the practice. Gets an injunction and pushes the hearing out until the season is over. Then he drops the lawsuit.

LSU saw what happened to Texas Tech. They'll fall in line. Losing your OC schedule in every sport isn't worth one player for one year.

I just don't get the upside on this. The SEC has basically told LSU, "you may ultimately win, but we're going to fight you every step of the way. And if we win, and you've used these players, we're going to hammer you." How is no one at LSU stepping in and saying “Hey Lane. Cut the shit.”

I mean, if this was Jamarr Chase or Joe Burrow coming back, I would get it. But it's for a guy like JR Tuihalamaka - a good player, but not anyone that's going to decide whether you make the playoffs or not.

I just don't get it.

I don’t like it or what lsu is doing but it’s such a double standard crock. Certain teams (Colorado State, Virginia’s offensive line, Ohio State too) have players in college for 7-8 years. That’s okay.

European professional basketball players? That’s fine.

A rookie minicamp participant is perfectly acceptable.

Exhibit 10 contract? Cool.

A training camp participant? Death penalty

College football is so backward and lost

I'm so glad LSU fans are getting The Lane Kiffin Experience in full before they even take their first snap. No fanbase so richly deserves it. Just remember, no crying in the casino!

Or soccer. A college student may have been a professional since age . . . whenever they start.

I do commend them somewhat for brazenly shooting the bird to Sankey while defying the Sec and the other 15 Sec members. Don’t get me wrong lsu is in the wrong here but they’ve drawn their line in the sand. Not a lot of schools would do that. Most would bend the knee

You should write them a letter. Or better yet go to their board.

This has always been professional sports, always been an NFL "minor league" or "farm system." Most chose not to believe it for a very long time, but here we are.

Personally, I hope Marcus and ND want zero part of any of this, and I don't have to worry they will most likely. Keep doing what you're doing and don't dip your toes too far into the drama waters.

Apart from that, a lot of people made their beds to get this all where it is and now they all have to lay in said beds. My heart pumps piss for the lot of them. It was bullshit for decades and a lot of cats got fat with the way things were. SCOTUS changed that and now the people who deserved to eat who weren't have license and agency to do so.
