Unfortunately it stopped, Moscow trump picked his side
Trump also doesn't have the authority to do this anyways? Right? Purse strings lie with congress and all that.It says paused not withdrawn. This is probably a step to get the mineral rights deal wrapped up or get Zelenskyy to the negotiating table.
Zelensky came to sign the deal and then they jumped him in the Oval office. It says paused not withdrawn. This is probably a step to get the mineral rights deal wrapped up or get Zelenskyy to the negotiating table.
And it didn’t get signed.Zelensky came to sign the deal and then they jumped him in the Oval office.
You’re right about congress, but he may have the ability to pause it. I don’t know for sure. Him trying to cancel aid would be different.Trump also doesn't have the authority to do this anyways? Right? Purse strings lie with congress and all that.
This is exactly what got him impeached the first time around.
If neither side shows any gains, how long would you propose we continue sending weapons and money to Ukraine?Absolutely not. That's why I put (lol) at the end of that sentence lol.
I, personally, would keep sending it as long as Ukraine wants to fight and Russia keeps bleeding and/or Putin catches a stray bullet/accidentally falls out of a 5 story building. If neither side shows any gains, how long would you propose we continue sending weapons and money to Ukraine?
Are you on Zelensky’s staff or are you pretending to live through him?Zelensky came to sign the deal and then they jumped him in the Oval office.
Russian army alone has 1.5 million active duty. Putin isn't losing any sleep over 120k. When Russia is out of oil or nukes, they will be crippled. Anything less is a fantasy you've dreamed up.They already have 300k casualties with 120k being deaths. They’re tanking their own currency and are blowing through tremendous amounts of vehicles and ammunition. These will all have massive long term effects on the future of their country and IMO will cripple them as a viable threat to the US for a long period of time.
As long as Ukraine has the desire to fight and is asking for our help, excluding US troops on the ground, I don’t see a reason to stop.
“Never interrupt your opponent while he is in the middle of making a mistake”
It is 120k minimum dead likely much much more. The wounded will always be 3 or 4 times higher. Plus prisoners.Russian army alone has 1.5 million active duty. Putin isn't losing any sleep over 120k. "Never borrow billions of dollars to give to a foreign state to fund a war that isn't yours with no end in sight." --- me
So they’ve lost 1/5 of their military? Unless they’re planning on deploying soldiers with 1 leg.Russian army alone has 1.5 million active duty. Putin isn't losing any sleep over 120k. When Russia is out of oil or nukes, they will be crippled. Anything less is a fantasy you've dreamed up.

Of course, but the Russians see that as normal and acceptable. If they achieve the desired end result, they aren't concerned with the loss of life it took to get there. So they’ve lost 1/5 of their military? Unless they’re planning on deploying soldiers with 1 leg.
I’d be pretty concerned if the US lost that many men.
It doesn't matter if Putin cares. Losing 1/5 of your military personnel and rising is going to have long term ramifications.Of course, but the Russians see that as normal and acceptable. If they achieve the desired end result, they aren't concerned with the loss of life it took to get there.
Like what? His economy is afloat. He has more meat to feed the grinder. His alliances aren’t breaking. He can keep feeding the machine. Hell, he has Koreans walking in to die for him now.It doesn't matter if Putin cares. Losing 1/5 of your military personnel and rising is going to have long term ramifications.
In reality, Russia's economy is being kept afloat by the huge amount of money that's being spent on the war effort. It's possible that their economy will actually do worse once peace is achieved.Like what? His economy is afloat. He has more meat to feed the grinder. His alliances aren’t breaking. I would love to see Putin catch a stray bullet, but I don't think he's leaving until he passes naturally. I'll be surprised if Russia bleeds out. The demise of soldiers, equipment and supplies has been reported for a couple of years now, yet there they are.I, personally, would keep sending it as long as Ukraine wants to fight and Russia keeps bleeding and/or Putin catches a stray bullet/accidentally falls out of a 5 story building.
Why not call out the support for Israeli?
Same low beta war mongers on here claim we are winning by giving Ukraine our old stock so we can restock. But what works for us can't possibly work for Russia.I would love to see Putin catch a stray bullet, but I don't think he's leaving until he passes naturally. I'll be surprised if Russia bleeds out. For those of you that want to continue supplying Ukraine until Russia is spent, when do you think Russia will be depleted of resources?
Does it matter when/if Russia is depleted of resources? If Ukraine wants to fight and our allies are also shouldering a large portion of the aid (which they are), maybe, just maybe, a country founded on freedom like the US should look to support a weaker nation being attacked unprovoked by our main geopolitical enemy over the last 75 years. Radical thinking I know.I would love to see Putin catch a stray bullet, but I don't think he's leaving until he passes naturally. I'll be surprised if Russia bleeds out. Then support them enough to win. Supporting them just enough to maintain the status quo and have additional Ukranian's die needlessly is not "supporting a weaker nation".Does it matter when/if Russia is depleted of resources?
