It’s not a waste. Russia is using farm equipment and prisoners at this point. Even if the war itself is completely futile the price it’s forcing Russia to pay is well worth our money. What better use could there be? We spend $850 billion dollars on defense annually. Crippling our second biggest adversary for a small portion of that is worth it.

They already have 300k casualties with 120k being deaths. They’re tanking their own currency and are blowing through tremendous amounts of vehicles and ammunition. These will all have massive long term effects on the future of their country and IMO will cripple them as a viable threat to the US for a long period of time.

As long as Ukraine has the desire to fight and is asking for our help, excluding US troops on the ground, I don’t see a reason to stop.
